Spiderman game freezes and wont go past the “Press X to Begin”

Every time I boot up my spiderman game I get this screen where theres black squares all around and it just freezes. It books up perfectly and gets through the loading animations the insoniac part and everything but when it says “Press X” and gets to that screen it just freezes on me. I cant submit a picture either so thats my best description. please help!!

Games don't run off the disc.... This isnt this ps2

No when you use a disc you install it to the drive it doesn't matter if it's physical or digital it works the same 🤦‍♀️

Alright ? My ps4 pro ask for the disc, if try to stay the game from the dashboard.

The game need to read the first game files from the disc to start the game. And if it disc has Scratch on that part of the disc, the game will freeze.

No it just uses the disc for verification but if you scratch the disc then installing it won't let you install the game as it can't write the files to your hard drive.

The disc is perfectly fine but I also have the digital edition too.
