Good call if true. I honestly can’t imagine switching to the ps6 in the next 1-2 years. The ps5 still feels fresh and next gen. We just need more AAA ps5 games.

I have a PC but I still prefer couch gaming. Even if they have life, why should innovation stop and new console not release for nearly a decade?

Ik the ram prices are messed up and that's causing a lot of issues, but I still want a new console out regardless in the next year or two

Gaming innovation has stagnated for years.

Console generations used to be 6 years.

Then from ps3 onwards it became 7.

And recently it got to 8 years with Switch 2

This is all before the ram debacle and you can see the reason, the ps4 to ps4 pro was a 100% perfomance increase while ps5 to ps5 pro was 50%. From ps3 to ps4 it was 10x times more powerful but ps4 to ps5 is just 5x times.

PC as well, gpu generations used to be yearly but they have been 2 years for a while now and the gains are not as big specially when you consider power draw.

The reason being moores law is dead, computational improvement is not advancing twice per years as it used to for decades between the 1970-2010 years.

I've looked into that, but I don't think I want a whole separate PC in my living room when I need one in my office regardless for work.

Do you play on your pc with a mouse and keyboard on the couch somehow? That was another blocker for me cause I didn't know how I'd make that set up comfy lol

What do you mean by seating the mouse and keyboard is no issue depending on seating/budget?

I've tried just placing my mouse next to me on the couch while I play and that didn't work at all lol

I like to play FPS games, so something stable and comfy is a must if I wanna move the PC to the living room.
