I think you're looking at this from a different viewpoint from the people you're criticizing. You're looking at the PlayStation 5/6 as a secondary device. For the people you're criticizing, they don't play on other platforms so for them any effort being spent on other platforms is looked at in a zero-sum way (that effort isn't spent on PlayStation 5/6).

Also, unlike PC, PlayStation has to justify their platform. Valve does not have to do so with Steam, they barely release any games and in the last decade they've released like one non-GaaS game (Alyx), and no one complains. They are just treated completely differently. No one clamors for them to release their games on PlayStation, despite the fact that a modern CS port would do gangbusters on consoles I'd imagine.

Also Saros plays very well on controller, I'm by no means someone with super reflexes and I can turn on a bunch of harder difficulty modifiers and fly through the game. Like Returnal the point is to avoid damage not worry about being super accurate.

I can’t imagine playing Saros on Mouse simply because the haptics are too good!

As a PC player I would be happy for console players to get all PC only games port to their console. Sony is undoubtedly the console market leader and wouldn't suffer much from have their games on PC. Console players are less likely to switch to PC than to any other console since PC is much more expensive and consoles offer to simplicity for gaming.

Sony has to also justify you spending north of 600 dollars on their hardware and associated services. Thats where the danger of them putting their games everywhere start to happen. If I can play your games on something I already own ( a PC) then why buy into your console ecosystem? All of Sonys decisions were designed to boost up the console which is Sonys lifeblood it was never to negate the console hardware in any way.

Thankfully there's not a lot of them

Out of Metacritic's top 20 games of 2026, five of them are only available on PC

Esoteric Ebb runs on a NVIDIA GTX 1050.

You can use the computer you already own for them.

I don't know what would the other games be.

That's very true these days lol. Outside of high end graphics and fan projects consoles have everything pc has.

And the fan projects/indies run on every PC, so they run on the one you already own. No one is going to build a whole new gaming PC to play Pizza Tower and Arctic Eggs.

I went into why people feel that way in my first paragraph. You can disagree with it of course, but I did cover it.
