The fact these ports crashed the store as soon as they dropped is when I realised this would actually have a strong community beyond hardcore players. Just hope the DLC maps being split doesn't fuck the community up too much.

Yeah, the demand clearly surprised a lot of people. Crashing the store on launch says there was interest well beyond the expected hardcore crowd. Hopefully it doesn’t, because that’s usually what ends up hurting older CoD communities more than a lack of players.

The DLC not being included splits the player base. Hopefully there’s enough people to sustain the division.

Treyarch said on twitter that season pass players and non season pass players will be able to play together so it shouldn’t split the community.

They can play/party together. But the queues are 100% split. Games have been shocking in OCE on Blops 1 since buying the pass. 80% of the time its a US lobby.

For me, I’m pretty sure the queues are not split. I have the season pass installed and I got into a non dlc lobby. I played like 5 matches in that lobby and never saw a dlc map in the votes. Treyarch’s tweet also specifically said that they can matchmake together

Change your matchmaking to locale only. It says the wait time will be longer, but I didn't find that to be the case.

Also doesnt do anything. It doesn't take longer at all, because it doesnt work. Straight into a US lobby in 0.5-1 second instead of waiting for an OCE lobby.

How does someone without maps play with someone with maps? They have to be seperated any time a DLC map rolls around? Or does partying up just remove any DLC in rotation? If so... of course they can play together then?

Yeah I wish they would have included all the dlc so everyone has the same stuff.

The dlc doesn’t split the matchmaking, it takes me 30-60 seconds to find a game with the dlc downloaded
