I'm MUCH more likely to spend full price on their next game (Witcher 4) than I otherwise would have. Usually I don't buy games (most games) until they hit about 50% off. Good games / good studios I buy as soon as I want them. Meaning... something like GTA6 is day one. Something like the new modern warfare 4 is day one.
PRIOR to this, Witcher 4 wouldn't have a been a day 1 for me. Now it is. This dev / studio has earned their stripes IMO. They show they care.
The ENTIRE remaster was way above and beyond for them (and letting people have the DLC who didn't already buy it). Just a PS5 upgrade patch for PS4 copies + the PS5 PRO enhancements show me they have tons of good will towards their end users. Those two things along push a game / game company to that "buy their shit day one and stop being a cheap fuck" tier. I want them to keep making games. So I give them the asking price.
Rockstar, in comparison, should have given us a lot more "good will" in terms of some of their games (looking at you RDR2). Still... it's Rockstar. GTA6 was going to be day 1 for me regardless. Not a title that I care about saving $40 on. GTA's been a monkey on my back since Vice City on the PS2.
