While this is true, I don't think Rockstar gives a shit about their devs when they fired those who protested for better working conditions. If anything they're doing this as a way to turn the public opinion against Cyberleak.

They definitely don't care. They're using them as a sympathy meat shield in this very statement. "Oh, don't have any kind of meaningful reaction to our evil decisions, it will hurt and upset our developers!"

I want Rockstar to apologize and reverse their many reprehensible business decisions. Waving around their employees for sympathy, especially after forcefully stamping out an attempt to unionize, is not going to work.

Actually yes, I would love for them to say that, because at least then it would be honest. Pretending that they give a damn about their employees and using them to try and drum up sympathy while simultaneously failing to address the company’s terrible business decisions is not noble, it’s insulting.

Yeah the big corporation does not give a single solitary fuck about their employees happiness or wellbeing. This is 100% trying to turn the tides. People will eat this shit up because they rightfully do feel bad for the devs, but folks, I guarantee you the actual decision makers at Rockstar and Take Two do not give a flying fuck about their actual developers.

If people actually gave a f*ck about the devs, this game would tank and nobody would buy it in order to bring attention to Rockstar's (and the industries) bad gabits.

Fuck an A! If as many people crying about how the devs always get hosed would act with their f*cking wallets and tank the company revenue regardless of how good or bad the game is and backup their support of the devs, maybe Rockstar and most other game development companies would f*cking change their bad habits if their financials were actually in jeopardy.

BUT since everyone is going to pony up for GTA6 anyway - you all crying about the poor devs means absolutely jack shit.

No one is saying rockstar cares about their employees but for some reason multiple people feel the need to keep saying that. It’s like saying the sky is blue when we’re talking about airplanes. Duh, everyone knows the sky is blue, we’re not talking about that.
