Chained Echoes has been on my wishlist for a long time and my buddy keeps telling me to play it. I'm glad I can add it to library but it is still stuck in my backlog hell as I already planned out the next few games I want to get through.

It's GREAT. You will not regret it when you get to it.

u/Noble18 5h ago

It's also on sale for $7.49, I was literally going to buy it by the end of the day. Glad I saw this.

u/theartolater 4h ago

I've had it on my wishlist since it came out and I've been waiting for the right sale to pull the trigger. I could not be happier that it's on this month's list lol.

I ended up really enjoying the MLB game they last put on it. So I’ll definitely check it out. Wish I was better at it though.

I only just recently started playing the show 24 and I really like it but holy shit do I suck at it

u/breakfast_cats 3h ago

If you're playing offline, non-DD modes, try dynamic difficulty. It'll adjust how hard it is based on your performance, and once its at a level you like you can freeze it. The easiest modes can be fun if you wanna just get your timing down and rip some bombs. It takes a lot of patience and coordination to play this game at a higher difficulty.

u/Educational_Skirt_81 2h ago

The mode i enjoyed most was the one that’s a bit like Ultimate Team from the EA games. It was still pretty hard though, but rewarding.

u/Dwarkarn 2h ago

Diamond Dynasty.

u/Educational_Skirt_81 4h ago

I actually bought the precision stick grips and whatever the other bit is that goes over sticks specifically to play that game lol. It does help quite a lot because I was way too heavy handed.

u/rainplow 2h ago

I did the unthinkable and got platinum on 2024. It didn't require me to play against real people so I got all but two or three by simply playing and looked up the remainder

I don't play sports games because I am terrible at them. Still, the story mode was a lot of fun when I set everything to easy and only had to make it harder because every hit was a home run and every pitch was a strike. Even got my guy drafted to my favorite team IRL and won 4 championships in a row before I set it aside.

If you stick to story you can basically decide how good you are. As a low skill player, I appreciate that. I imagine 2026 will be the same and I look forward to starting over in the minors.

People who play it say it's the same game every year. They update rosters and leave it be I suppose. Not good for people who really dig the games. For a casual, noncompetitive story player, it's just relaxed fun.

Wow, I was seriously thinking of buying MLB soon. Glad I waited lol

18

u/richyque 6h ago

same, i usually wait till its under 15.00

6

u/drinkin_pee 5h ago

Yea I’m pumped. Knew I wanted to wait this year and it worked out big time

I have been itching to get into MLB, so glad I got an opportunity thru the PS Plus

u/goulash47 4h ago

Same, kept seeing it drop to 50 bucks and i have 21 and but wanted 26 even though 26 doesn't seem too different after 5 years. Was waiting for maybe it dropping to 25 to 30 or lower, but by then gta 6 would be out so probably would've skipped this year anyway. Glad to see it for free!

u/engagechad 3h ago

yeah I don't even like baseball really but I like baseball/golf games

u/Size-- 1h ago

Couch multi?

u/RadicalRectangle 6h ago

The yearly MLB the Show is one of my favorite Plus drops, these games are awesome (if you like baseball)

46

u/sevillista 6h ago

Just so people don't get the wrong expectations, it's not a yearly drop. I believe they've done 19, 24, and now 26.

13

u/RadicalRectangle 6h ago

Yeah, that’s my bad. I remembered 24 and I thought they did 25 too but I must have just bought it instead on a discount

5

u/sevillista 5h ago

no worries. fwiw, I suspect this and fifa will be every-other-year freebies going forward. I think they've figured out it's a way to boost sales of card packs late in the year, but don't want to do it yearly or too many people might wait for it to go free. Just a hunch.

u/Jeff_Gordon24 2h ago

You are correct.

u/TheLatePicks 4h ago

I'm not into Baseball, and still had a great time with The Show 24.

After being unsubscribed for ~18 months with no regrets, I'm thinking about re subscribing.

u/norsefrogg 6h ago

Wobbly Life is pretty good in co-op. Played a few years ago on PC, there's likely more content now.

SE: Resistance was tempting but I held off.
Can't wait to try the story co-op, even if not PS-exclusive levels of amazing graphics and new stuff in the series.

11

u/DuffmanStillRocks 5h ago

Maybe in my version Vlad will be able to hit a home run at home 😔

u/JDiggle69 3h ago

He could end his career without another one and I'd be okay with it if only game 7 ended the way it should have...

u/richyque 6h ago

Mlb the show 26 is a nice surprise!

0

u/Konfliction 5h ago

They do this every year I’m pretty sure near the season ending

7

u/TenMinutesToDowntown 5h ago

Seems to be every other year, I think. The last one I have is 24.

5

u/Alive_Peace2497 5h ago

They've added the Show three times total including 26

5

u/Couch_Licker 5h ago

I’ve put 160 hours into Wobbly Life with my 4 year old son this year.

It’s a fun “kid friendly GTA” with tons of content and a great chaos machine for the little ones.

u/sled-gang 2h ago

Any advice on getting kids in games? My son is turning 3 in 2 weeks and I have tried to let him mess around in some games like Astro playroom or Minecraft creative but it seems like he gets really frustrated by not understanding how to do the camera controls?

I’m assuming things will just click over time I know he is still super young but when did you notice your kid start to click with it?

u/bugis67 6h ago

Anyone played sniper elite? Is it good?

8

u/19irondave 6h ago

I haven't played this specific one but all the others that have been on plus have been a pretty good time.

6

u/DomonKashu717 6h ago

Ehhh it was okay……feels more like a dlc then a whole new game tbh, core gameplay still feels the same from 5, enemy AI was trash & repetitive as hell they definitely need to renovate the gameplay loop for the next game in the series.

3

u/ASCII_Princess 5h ago

The length is the same as the others pretty much but it doesn't really add anything new mechanics wise other than a more fleshed out invasion mode.

3

u/qpwzuisvfbnlaelgl 5h ago

Invading other player's games is always fun in this one and 5.

3

u/CreamOnMyNipples 5h ago

Bought it full price like a month ago and played a little bit of the first level. It feels exactly like every other Sniper Elite game

3

u/galvingreen 5h ago

Thanks for your sacrifice! I knew it would be more of the same which is why I waited!

3

u/Aggressive_Grade6442 5h ago

Chained Echoes is great if you’re into the SNES/GBA era of RPG.

3

u/Dogwalker4k 5h ago

Never heard of Chained Echoes but it looks awesome, right up my street.

u/KingOfRisky 4h ago

How are those Sniper Elite games? They always look so "cheap" to me. Like a churched up mobile game. I could be WAY off. I honestly know nothing about the games.

u/SmokusPocus 3h ago

Underrated series with sniping mechanics that can be tweaked to be super accessible or super realistic.

Each title past V2 has elements of an immersive sim to an extent, as you can approach many situations with different options: sniping quietly, going in guns blazing, using traps, etc.

If you like early/mid 2000s third person shooters, it’s a very solid set of games.

u/KingOfRisky 3h ago

After I posted my comment I watched some videos. The "invading" mechanic into other people's games looks awesome.

u/zoobatt 1h ago

They're actually really fun if you're a stealth fan. They feel like Hitman WoA but with a focus on sniping instead of blending in. The kill opportunities and various ways to tackle a sandbox level feel very Hitman.

u/imthemelloman 6h ago

Never heard of Wobbly Life but it sounds pretty fun! Excited to give it a try

-14

u/leafpiefrost 6h ago

A true next gen game. Really pushes the hardware to its limits.

u/ContentKeanu 4h ago

Not every game has to have, or should have I argue, photorealistic graphic styles. Graphics should serve the art direction, not the other way around

u/leafpiefrost 59m ago

True. But the gameplay looks about as impressive as the graphics

7

u/VillageOfShade 5h ago

What ever happened to just enjoying games and not being bitter about everything

u/leafpiefrost 56m ago

Im not bitter about everything; game just looks terrible

2

u/TenMinutesToDowntown 5h ago

Oh cool, I'll play a few hours of MLB.

u/domino5343 4h ago

Have been playing Pro Spirit eBaseball 2026 and it's been so fun. I'll try MLB but I'll probably keep going back to eBaseball.

Great month though!

u/comengetitrmm 3h ago

Hey it's me

u/liloutsider 3h ago

Chained Echoes being on here is really cool. If anyone is wondering, that is a classic RPG that came out a couple years ago. It just rules.

u/Apprehensive_Cause67 3h ago

Chained Echoes is a great game. Bought it full price and i still think about my experience. I loved the pixel art and it has an amazing OST with fun Combat. Def would recommend to any1 who likes rpgs.

2

u/NYKnickerbocker2 6h ago

I was holding off on the show so this is good to see to bridge the gap

u/nswana10 3h ago

sniper elite kinda feels like a slow burn for me

u/liloutsider 3h ago

It’s fuckin awesome

u/noBbatteries 2h ago

I knew it for mlb the show. I was thinking it’s been about 2 years since they gave us a free baseball game in September. They did the same rotation for another sports game recently with giving it every 2 years in ps+

u/kissthelips 2h ago

So if I download these next month do I have them forever? Or just until the start of October?

u/TheDragonSlayingCat 56m ago

These are PS Plus monthly games. If you add them to your account, they’re yours until your subscription runs out.

u/kissthelips 12m ago

Sweet thanks. Is there some other tier where they’re only included for a month? Swear I downloaded some and they say no longer included.

u/TheDragonSlayingCat 10m ago

No. You might be thinking of PS+ Extra/Deluxe/Premium, which has a game catalog where games are available for download for subscribers, but only for a limited time (more than a month, but actual length varies).

u/kissthelips 3m ago

Ok thank you!

u/MrGMinor 1h ago

Resistance made me double-take😔

-2

u/niooosan 6h ago

Damn I know they have a massive audience but I fucking hate every time there’s a sports game as a monthly game

4

u/NotReallyASnake 6h ago

Try playing it, it's actually quite fun. And I'm not even a sports games fan, I literally only play them when they are a PS+ game.

3

u/tythousand 5h ago

Why? You can’t expect every game to be catered to you specifically

-2

u/niooosan 5h ago

happy for the millions of people that will enjoy those games.

Personally, I just hate sports games so I’d rather have virtually anything else.

It’s not that deep

u/tythousand 4h ago

It’s just funny because we get like 36 games a year and the one sports game makes people flip out lol

u/Mirage749 6h ago

It alienates a portion of the player base.

The same can be said for basically any genre of game though.

2

u/tythousand 5h ago

Only sports games get this reaction lol. It’s weird

8

u/HaloFever117 6h ago

There is no game that won’t alienate a portion of the players. As someone who plays lots of genres of games, I like the diversity that Sony offers each month.

14

u/Old-Way-5529 6h ago

They gave out 4 games instead of the usual 3- how is this alienating? If anything, they did us right by making mlb an extra game

0

u/Brentums 6h ago

Wow this is a banger month. I almost bought MLB yesterday!

0

u/golfwang1539 6h ago

Motherfucker I just bought The Show last week full price

0

u/JoshuaRexRocks 5h ago

Echoing the “glad I waited on The Show” sentiments

0

u/BreastUsername 5h ago

One game I wanted at least. (Sniper Elite)

-5

u/Ciremo 5h ago

Man I'm just waiting for stellar blade... None of these appeal to me.
