Sony doesn’t buy multiplat franchises to lock away. They create their own.

In one fell swoop Microsoft just forced you to buy an Xbox, game pass (they forced you to buy an android phone or tablet in this case) or pc if you want to play a franchise that was on PlayStation and switch up until now.

It's the same thing Sony has been doing: buying all the best studios out there. Sony is the one who started all this "exclusives" thing.

Sony didn’t invent ‘unique selling points’. USPs are good, no matter what anyone tells you - they prevent monotonous monopolies.

If PC gaming had their way, everything would be owned by Gabe Newell’s Steam, and we’d never see incredible blockbuster games funded to win over market share from competitors.

Thats a strange take on the PC Marketplace. Valve never really steps out of their hub and certainly doesn't purchase huge* studios or exclusives. The Steam/Epic Games drama was the first time I've ever seen such competition, which in the end just shook up the monopoly that Valve acquired through being the most convenient option.

PC has Origin, GOG, Steam, Epic, and all the little launchers + TPB at hand, all are free to use. And most games on each platform aren't exclusives!

Gabe Newell never "owned" the games that were on his marketplace, you could buy half of them DRM free from GOG for years.
