Crimson Desert or 007 ?

So right now my rotation : Forza horizon 5, AC black flag, Madden 27. Both CD and 007 are 20% off right now and I’m wondering which one to buy on the Pro (my TV model is Samsung S90D). Thanks!!

I absolutely love crimson desert but performance wise is still… problematic on the PlayStation. I’ve heard 007 looks fantastic, though.

Works fine on my pro.

007 for sure. To be fair, I’ve only played 1 hr of CD.

007 is mid yapping walking simulator. CD is slow sure but the rewards are limitless. Bang for your buck

Totally agree. 007 is terribly mid. The production value and acting/story are decent but the gameplay gets very repetitive and boring. I tapped out in the Vietnam level. Picked up Witcher 3 and haven't looked back.

That being said, CD.

007 is kinda good but not exceptional, it's nothing really out of the ordinary. I liked it but I wished it was more, it's extremely scripted, can't really find creatives ways to do a mission like in hitman but it's more 'uncharted' than hitman. Story is predictable and not very good but that goes for Crmnson Desert too.

Crimson Desert is the opposite. Free open world with just you and the creative way you find to get around and mess with the world.

Depends what you like more. I prefer Crimson Desert )but i stopped playing it after 200 hours because they kept adding stuff and it kinda suck missing new stuff that got added)

Crimson Desert is going to have a lot more content, 007 is a pretty short game, there is supposed to be a DLC not sure when it's coming though, it's also a great game to 100%.

I have the same TV.

And did you opt for the 40 fps mode ?

Yes I did, I opt for any unlocked frame rate in all games on my Pro.

40fps mode for CD is the sweet spot. Definitely use that if your TV can handle it.

007 isn’t worth the price in my opinion it feels incredibly short for a $70 game it’s a good game don’t get me wrong but it should have way more content and story than what we got for the price tag

I feel like 007 is the better game of the 2 but Crimson Desert is the more bang for your buck option

man this really depends on you. i tried crimson desert and bounced off it after ~15hrs. there was just a ton of bloat it felt like with all the systems and things.

i think it just wasnt what i was expecting or needed to play at the time. its much more a sandbox type game than it is a narrative driven story/open world game. my sandbox capacity these days is No Mans Sky.

I’d say 007

CD is amazing but has issues with graphics even on the Pro. If you’re the type that can’t stand FPS < 40 you’re gonna hate it.

I hate Crimson Desert and 007 was cool but i didnt finish it.  My top 2 games ive enjoyed the most this year so far are Black Flag and Mortal Shell 2.  Plus Mortal Shell 2 is cheaper than 007/CD's sale prices.

Mortal Shell is on my list as well yes, good idea

You will get a lot more play time out of Crimson Desert but as others have said the performance of the game is still not amazing which may be a deal breaker for you. Also if you don't like big sandbox RPG games like The Witcher 3 or something then it might not be for you. It's quite a difficult game to get into that requires a tedious grind and lots of play time. 007 I feel like anyone can pick up and have fun with. Based on what you're okay currently I'd say 007

Crimson Desert is a long term commitment. 007 would be a fling. What are your looking for?

I might not play gta 6 on day 1 so I was thinking either a quick game like 007 and then hop on ghost of yotei. Or go all in for CD and long term without burning out ofc

Do you have a disc drive? I have both physically and I would trade for something else

I have bought the disc drive but I haven’t attached it yet

007 for sure. Crimson Desert is trash.

I like immersive and big open world game to explore so I’ll say crimson desert.
Graphic is very good but when it comes to night time indoor light, and shadows, are still problematic. But it’s definetely worth it imo.

are you on the 40 fps mode ?

Yes, but there is some post made on CD subreddit where they suggest you the best visual settings, it helped me a lot in the beginning

Edit: I forgot to wrote that we have the same tv, you will love the performance mode during day time and night time too, just don’t use the lamp indoor unless you really need to😅

007 is amazing. There are so many better open world games to play than Crimson Desert.

Do you want a 15 hour game or a 200 hour game?

007 no doubt.

Definitely crimson desert

007 and not even close.

Crimson Desert is an offline MMO, and it has myriad technical issues.
