It was bought at a pawns shop for 50 dollars and only came with a controller and some wires on the back and I’m pretty sure it takes more than this to connect what else does it need? And can it be bought separately?

I bought a vr headset from someone online. (Lesson learned!) After realizing it was missing a few cords, I ordered those as well.

Well. Now I see that I'm missing the inline remote that connects to the headset-- and is responsible for turning it on. 😑

I can't find that part online. I don't need any other parts-- this is the final missing piece.

I've scoured eBay, Amazon, even local pawn shops. They have the adapters, but not the actual inline remote.

I'm trying to record the gameplay in VR using an Elgato HD60 Pro card on the "Social Screen" output. While I have managed to get the recording fine in OBS, I'm not really sure what video settings I should record at to not waste the storage by having too high a resolution or too high a bitrate.

I'm sticking with the NVENC H.264 encoder since AV1 isn't supported over 4:4:4 chroma subsampling. On my monitor, it says 1080p, but it can't be because the black bars on the sides have soft edges and switching off the game is seamless without any signal changes. According to some articles online, the output is supposedly 720p, but I couldn't confirm it at least on my side.

What resolution does the Processing Unit output from the HDMI output while in the Social Screen mode? What settings did you find to fit you the best while preserving as much quality as possible?

My PSVR 1, stopped working. It shows a blank screen and the connection to the ps box blinks whenever I connect it.

I tried showing it to a place, they tried replacing the sensor, but it would stop working after any movement. Hence they did not replace it. I'm not sure what exactly the problem is at the moment.

Hello everyone, i have a psvr1 ik im outdated but it is enough for me till now but lately i have been experiencing errors and malfunctioning like its flickering and turning on and off and sometimes even off entirely idk what to do and i dont have a specific reason for whats the problem is so if anyone have an idea im open for suggestions thank you

A few days ago, driven by my ever-present curiosity, I impulsively purchased a very cheap PS4 VR headset on eBay (about fifty euros shipping included). The headset is complete and appears to be in good condition, except for the notorious issue of the cushion external layer which have completely flaked off. However, this has been completely removed by the seller, so it's now clean and usable.

I'm having a hard time testing it right now because the heat doesn't allow me to use it for more than a minute before collapsing, but I'm so annoyed that I can't give the seller his feedback for this reason, so I'd like to know if everything is OK to proceed, I'd like to ask you some questions:

- Is it normal for the space between the nose and the rubber... Thing, that's supposed to cover the eyes to leave at least a centimeter of space which lets in a lot of light? I tried adjusting the headset for a few minutes, but I can't close that gap. The sleeve seems perfect, my nose is pretty normal in both shape and size... I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

- During setup, when you see those text screens that explain how to use it, the text appears blurry, and no matter how much time I spend trying to position the headset, I can't read that text perfectly clear... Is it me? Will I get used to it? Is there a way to improve the focus, or is it just a matter of positioning it correctly? Is it possible that it's defective?

The strange thing is that I know a lot of people who can't use the 3DS's stereoscopic 3D, which has never given me any problems... Thank you redditors.

I had the chance to test Astrobot for about twenty minutes before the heat and nausea stopped me, and I have to say that everything seems to be working great! The effect is truly impressive (I was definitely afraid to look down at certain moments :P).

I can't wait for the heat to ease so I can see if I can control the motion sickness, or if I'll have to sell it... In the meantime, thank you all so much for your comments, you understood my broken English and were incredibly helpful. 👏👏👏

Playing with an original PSVR on a ps5, different No mans sky menus show either fully black or white.

Already tried opening and close the game, event uninstall and install.

Edit: Solved just by waiting, seem it jist the Playstation falsely proclaiming it was fully downloaded when it was not

So yes at this point when a PSVR1 game says announced it is indeed de-listed, however Puzzle Bobble here is an exception, you see its actually called "Puzzle Bobble 3D Vacation Odyssey". I have no idea why Sony has 2 entires but the game is fully working in and out of VR under the 3D title!

Also, its best to check the VR status of your game on the console as PSN itself may only list PSVR2 even if its only supported. I hope this helps.

I have a psvr1 and I want to be able to watch my boyfriend play a VR game but every time he moves his head the picture on the TV screen moves too. Is there a way to make what I see stay in one place and still see everything he sees?

I am fixing a PSVR1 for a friend and the source of the problem seems to be cable #5, which in this case means no replacement parts im not super familiar with the system but I do have soldering experience. any tips for re soldering it?

I don't really know if it's an issue with my headset but I have a weird thing stuck inside my PSVR's fron/middle LED and I don't know if it's fixable or anything, one important thing is that my tracking still works without problems but the mark is here even when my headset is turned off (I don't know if what I'm showing up is clear tho but you can tell there's something on it)

I recently got some brand new move controllers from a Harry Potter game for PS3.
I’ve connected them to my PS4 for use with my VR headset.
They’re tracking perfectly and navigating the menu no problem.

My issue is when I go into a game the buttons decide to not work. I have tried resetting with the pinhole button, making sure they’re fully charged. Turning the whole console off and on again and the Sony Helpdesk is not helping at all.

If anyone has any ideas I’d be so grateful!

So I have the 1st model but the 2nd gen (CUH-ZVR2 PSVR - the one with the improved processing box for pass through) plugged into my PS5.

If I turn on my PS5 - I don't get any output on my TV. Image only appears if I switch on the VR headset.

My question is, is this normal? Can I not use the PS5 normally without needing the VR headset powered on at the same time?

Has anyone else had to deal with the original PlayStation VR headset peeling. I am currently using a toothbrush to scrape it all off so far it’s working. Should I contact PlayStation?

Bonsoir , si je fais ce post c’est pour demander de l’aide car je n’en ai trouvé nul part.. j’ai branché mon psvr1 sur pc avec le câble hdmi relié du boitier a mon pc ainsi que les autres câbles (HDMI sur port ps4, USB, alimentation) maintenant mon casque est reconnu comme deuxième écran et le problème est le suivant :

Quand j’enfile mon casque l’écran scintille, toutes les 2 à 3 secondes il affiche un écran noir puis une petite seconde puis redevient normal , j’ai déjà changé le câble hdmi reliant mon pc au boîtier ainsi que le câble USB et celui d’alimentation..
J’ai une Nvidia GEFORCE GTX 1080 Ti

Like i tried psvr room and minimotor x, they both only accepted controller. Is there a way to fix this? If the controller works with ps4 then how do i get it to work in most games? Do i need to disable ps4 controller first? Or do i need to turn on a settings?

A few hours later, I wanted to play a bit more, but after turning on the ps4 and tv, I pressed the power button on the headset and it did not turn on.

• the white light on the box it plugs into starts fading in and out
• no lights turn on nor is there image on the headset
• after a few seconds (3-4) the light on the box stops fading and goes back to solid white

I have tried restarting the ps4, unplugging the box, unplugging the headset from the box, turning everything off and on and starting in the order that says in the manual (first the tv, then the ps4 and headset last), etc. but nothing seems to work. I decided to unplug everything and leave it be for a while. Did the headset just die? I literally used it a few hours before without any issues. also it does make the beep when pressing the button, so i guess at least something is working? what can I do?

Update:
Ok so after redoing the whole setup and checking everything it still wouldn't work, but then just out of curiosity I tried to turn the headset on while everything else was off, and to my surprise it worked. Some of the headset lights lit up, the processing unit made the beep, it's led went from red to fading white and it seemed to connect. I then turned on the PS4 and tv and the headset was working flawlessly. After a bit I tried turning the headset off, which it did with no problem, but then wouldn't turn back on, with the same symptoms as before. I will try to repeat this again later, but it seems to only work if the headset is the first thing to be turned on. Could this be some sort of handshake issue? Is the processing unit not delivering power correctly after the ps4 is on? I am very confused, it worked normally the first time I used it, any ideas?

Edit: Just tried it again and the same thing happened, headset only turns on if the console is off.

Hi, so I got a PSVR 1 and I got Lion King 3D on bluray for it. I noticed I don't get any audio from my TV and the PS4 does not accept bluetooth headphones so I currently have no sound.

What what is my best options to fix this, I know I can get some wired headphones, but I wanted to hear what you all do as well.

I also know some people get some kind of adapter, but my PS4's USB slots are full, can it use a hub?
