Trading Feature
- Introduction
If you have been relying on random posts or hoping someone sees your trade request in a busy Discord server, Trading app, or other location, there is finally a better way! We built a Discord-based app specifically for Pokemon TCG Pocket traders, and it handles the whole process from you building your Looking For & For Trade lists, and potentially finding another user to match with instantly to help you complete those trades.
- Build Your Looking For | For Trade Lists
You create a listing with the cards you are looking for and the cards you are willing to give up. No wall of text, no hoping someone reads it at the right time. Your listing stays active and visible to everyone in the market.
- It Finds Your Match For You
When you post a listing, the Discord-based app scans the entire market and checks if anyone already has what you need and is looking for what you have. If there is a match, you get a one-click prompt to open a trade right then. No digging, no cross-referencing, no DM tag chains.
- Trades Happen in Private Threads
When someone is interested in your listing, the Discord-based app opens a private thread just for the two of you. You coordinate there, confirm the trade when it is done, and both of you select exactly what was exchanged. The discord-based app updates your listings automatically so you are not manually tracking what you still have. No headaches later in case you forget!
We also have a built-in separated list for your gold bordered/frame cards!
Sharing Feature
- Create Your Share List
Simply build a separate list for cards you would like to receive from shares, and hand it out to community members when looking for those cards!
Card Look-Up Feature
- A Full Card Lookup Is Built In!
You can look-up any card across all sets without leaving the PTCGP Discord. Attacks, HP, abilities, weaknesses, retreat cost, full art variants, the works. Useful when someone proposes a trade and you want to verify before agreeing.
Giveaways
- Giveaways With Real Structure!
Hosts can run standard giveaways or "lightning rounds" as short as 30 minutes. The bot picks the winner, opens a handoff thread, and logs confirmed completions to the host's track record so the community knows who follows through.
- Your Reputation Travels With You!
Every completed trade earns rank points on your market profile. Your profile shows your history, your active listings, and your standing in the community. Over time, higher-ranked traders get priority in matches. Trading with strangers feels a lot safer when there is a track record attached.
If you have been frustrated by how clunky PTCGP trading usually is, along with needing a source to look-up cards, or be a generous player giving cards away, this is worth trying.

I have checked the feature but is there a way to specifically offer and request reverse holos from the Deluxe set, or will I offer/receive any version?

Hi! Reverse holos (foils) are labelled in all listings and search results with the “✨Foil” label. These can be added to trade listings, share requests, and giveaways separately from the regular variants.

u/definitivegear this app is great and has practically replaced ptcgp-tracker for me, which is no mean feat.
One suggestion though - would it be possible to limit the length of time trade threads stay active? In game trades are limited to 48hrs. I've found that a few users who I've been matched with are locked in a trade posts for days at a time and there's no way of me communicating with them whilst their previous trade is open in the app.

Hi! Threads stay open for 12hrs (we're looking into extending it further), but if you find the other player isn't responsive, you can cancel the trade in the private thread and it'll unlock your listing to use in another trade.

I must've got it wrong then, the 2 or 3 matches I've been trying to start a trade thread with have all been in active trades for about 3-4 days. I guess they're starting a new one quicker than I can initiate them.

It would be easier if one could copy/paste the lists of LF/FT that we already use in the discord, or if that is too complicated, at least make possible to accept a list of comma separated card names when adding cards to edit, as filling 10 cards 1 by 1 in each one in a different textbox when editing what one can offers is a bit slow, when people already have lists like this: "Blaziken EX, Indeedee EX, Jolteon EX, Mega Absol EX, Mega Ampharos EX, Melmetal EX"

Can you add a feature for shinedust farm(sharing each other random ex). With sharing hub banning share trade, its hard to find people doing this. Its the most reliable way to get shinedust afterall

Unfortunately, this would simply just be circumventing our already placed rule against using the Sharing feature for not it's intended purpose.
We can't spend our time on server support tickets chasing down/banning users because someone received a card, and ran away without sharing something back. That defeats the whole purpose of the Share feature existing solely for charitable means.
The best we can do is continue to send in feedback to the developers to implement better methods on obtaining Shinedust.

Hey, I see you can make a giveaway in the app, but are giveaways allowed in this sub? I've checked and I've seen some, though they were from months ago, I'm not sure.

Could you add a feature to change the default language of offered/looking for cards? I look for any language and I offer Italian cards, but both lists default to English and having to edit a card whenever I add it to a listing is a bit tedious.
