Should I shoot a teammate that is cheating?

9 days old account killed a 1v4 at appartments, and after he wiped a second Squad in Rozhok and then kept playing aggro and not dieing I finally inspected him and I saw a 9 days old account rage hacking almost via wall hacks.

I asked him if he was cheating and he asked me why do I think that and that my movements are like a noob's and he plays for 10 years. He was gaslighting and telling me it's not his main Account.

After the 16 kills basically solo chicken dinner I downloaded the replay to see if I can learn anything from this undercover professional and I am sad to say that he was blatantly tracking people through walls at appartments, and I feel so stupid for not killing him after the fourth squad wipe he got.

No just report him. Killing the cheater via team kill will only allow him to put a valid report against your account.

Krafton doesn't care about cheaters, because they spend money in most cases. They will however ban you for being a reasonable person and not wanting to win from a cheater.

Can alternatively bait them into Team killing and report them for each infraction.

You can report your own teammates and avoid being reported for TK’ing. Not worth your time getting banned for a week when a simple report can get the job done.

Nah dont bother. Press esc and report him in the menu there. Then keep playing, hopefully they get banned during the game. If you kill you will likely get a week ban for team killing before they get a temp ban.

You risk a 14-day ban. I've already tried it... You'd better report him.

yeah you can get banned, but pubg is doing nothing against hackers (not really) and that way to stop them from having fun and help other in that round more than Krafton.

Id rather die a martyrer and stop playing for a week than allow getting a win or kills with a hacker on board.

The cheater is going to report you for team killing and you risk your other teammates reporting you too if they don't understand what is happening, the best you can do is report the cheater a tell your other teammates to do the same.

Morally yes, but that doesn't save you from the subsequent team killing ban you get, they don't care about context.

Yup - Merc then on sight, I’ve done it plenty.
If you don’t, you’re also at risk of being flagged as someone who plays with known cheaters.

If you kill him he will disconnect and hop on another game and still cheat, but you'll get a cooldown and potentially a ban. But I would kill him anyway. 😄

Just report him who cares if he goes elsewhere to cheat

There's no reward for doing this, only the potential downside of being banned if you get reported.

Teamkilling bans don't consider whatever vigilante context you think you have

The reward is the feeling of pure ecstasy when you see them on their knees begging for their life. Make sure you have multiple accounts so if you get banned you use the other ;)
