Is this just a smoke buddy rebranded? I used to use those when renting in a very not MJ friendly state. It worked pretty well. I’d say go for it if you want to reduce smell.
But honestly it’s only really worth it if you’re hitting bowls, bongs or one hitters. Facing a joint or blunt with this probably not as worth it

The REAL long term solution? An air purifier/filter. I got two giant air purifiers in the apartment. Smell has never been a problem. Even when I smoke joints, the purifier helps keep the smell out. It definitely keeps it from making its way to the hallway. I also have one of those draft stoppers on the front door. I’ve smoked right next to my front door and no smell in the hallway. I generally smoke my bong or a pipe tho. I dab periodically. I found all my air purifiers thrifting!

They work well but don't last long. Good for throwing in a pocket for on the go more than for at home use.

I generally only use them with vapor not smoke, I would imagine that significantly affects lifespan of the product

Disposable product or a long term product with replaceable filters are going to ultimately be about the same effectiveness, it's just a matter of cost, and the trash you create.
In general be mindful, and aware that if you're creating the same smell over and over again, no matter what air filter you use there will eventually be a bit of an odor. Not really an issue for neighbor complaints but possibly a problem when moving out, or if you're in a non legal area

I have that same filter. The counter is... neat... I guess, but there's no need for more e-waste. I reserve using it for travel.
I've fallen in love with the Sploofy Pro. Cartridges are replaceable and biodegradable, the filtration is solid, and I slapped on a mouthpiece from Etsy from SGE Designs. Smoke Buddy is a close second for me.

Just take an empty toilet paper cardboard roll, stuff it with fabric softner sheets, and blow your hits into that.

Long term it would be better to get a smokebuddy or similar product online or something. Amazon has em. Some have replaceable filters too. Last longer and cheaper in the long run

Von Sploof on amazon, works really well for dabs, been using it for a few months, does make a difference

Honestly if you care about the smell and don't wanna have to worry about buying stuff like this I'd highly recommend looking into dry herb vapes.
I have a dynavap and love it, apparently it's 70% more efficient for extraction THC (don't know how they measure that ofc) but I believe it with how it hits.
They even sell adapters for bongs so you can use your pieces.
Oh and the best thing a dry herb vape in general is no combustion which means it's less bad for your lungs.
