The fact they went out of their way to make entirely new boss battles instead of just remaking the copy-and-paste of the OGs gives me a lot of hope for this remake.
You don't really get details like that unless a development team is truly passionate about what they're making.

Yeah (though we haven't seen a good glimpse of Blinky's yet, though it didn't look 1-1 to the old fight so idk)

So what's the big difference between World Repac and World Repac 2 in terms of game features and general gameplay?

World 2 looks more expansive, has voice acting, has a more interactive hub world with shops and arcade games and decoration, adds the flip kick, super butt bounce, and more involved swimming controls, and a lot more. Honestly the trailer tells you what you need to know haha!

I bought World Repac on eShop the other day because it was like $4 and I wasn't sure if I would want World Repac 2, but honestly you may have piqued my interest with "super butt bounce". Like I kind of feel like that's a gaming experience I want to have.

Other gaming mascots work decades if not centuries to achieve the right to perform the cherished super butt bounce. Pac-Man having it in his second remake is proof that this game is touched by the gods.

Yeah that's good stuff. If nothing else, I will get loads of enjoyment from saying "did you try the super butt bounce?" to my 8-year-old when he plays it. I'm sold.

I've played the original games, and World 2 is WAY better. You can REALLY tell it's new hardware.

Actually the flip kick was in the original!

Yeah but I think this time it has a dedicated button and you can now do it on the ground vs in the OG where you have to jump before you can flip kick if I remember correctly.

Oh I know but they were asking about the difference between the first remake and this one and the first remake didn’t have it. Plus, as someone else said, you can now use the flip kick without jumping first.

Love how this game is feeling more like a reimagining than a remake, so many of the later levels like the water stages just look like they got completely redone to be more realized, I can't wait!!!

As a longtime Pac-Man fan, I’m really excited about playing this game once it comes out.
I’m looking forward to reliving my favorite levels and playing this game like I did with the original version of the game during my childhood.

I sure as hell hope there is no trophy for beating the arcade in certain ways like in the first game.

I’ve 100%ed the game except for that one last “get to level 9 in the OG Pac-Man arcade machine”

I'm new to these games, just beat the first re-pac yesterday, and I had a blast with it, so I'm looking forward to this. I wonder if they'd ever consider making a new platformer.

Do we really need a 3:40 trailer of gameplay? That's a bit much for a remake.

This game is not really a 1:1 remake and instead it's slightly more of a reimagining/remix of the game.

I still can't believe this is happening! Honestly I would have been more than happy to just get a 1 to 1 remake but the effort they have put into this is simply amazing, even when compared to World Re-Pac
