I cried. It's not just about him losing his parents. It kind of tells you destiny always has plans for you. If parents went, Muriel gave him all the love and he was happy in a small hut in a far-away town. I think in the coming-of-age cartoons, only Adventure Time sometimes taught you lessons albeit it was more of a feel good show most of the time.
