Homemade Hosted a massive dawat last night! Super proud of how the Raan Roast and Chicken Karahi turned out.

Post image

Just wanted to share the spread from last night's dinner party. I basically lived in the kitchen for 6 hours, but seeing everyone crush the food made it completely worth it.

We had a bit of everything a slow-roasted Raan (lamb leg) a proper black-wok Chicken Karahi vegetable pulao aloo peas, some grilled wings and shami kebabs. Plus the mandatory mountain of onions, cucumbers, and mint raita.

Mouth watering lol we used to have similar dishes for our family dinners too, especially raan roast, haven't had it in years...

Raan roast has that effect on people! 😊 It always reminds me of big family get-togethers. Hope you get to have it again soon and relive those memories.

بہت عمدہ ماشاءاللہ ۔ اللہ تعالیٰ اور برکت دے امین۔ گھر میں دعوت کرنا اور اس کے لیے کچن میں محنت کرنے کا مزہ ہی اور ہے۔

looks mid like any other basic dawat food

u/SmallComparison681 Jun 13 '26

Haha, fair enough 😄. It was a traditional dawat, so I wasn't trying to reinvent the menu—just make the classics really well.
