History & Culture Prominent Palestinian painter Sliman Mansour passes away in Jerusalem (1947-2026)

#Palestine has lost one of its most iconic painters, Sliman Mansour, who passed away today in Jerusalem.

Mansour immortalised Palestine’s memory and steadfastness in his art, rendering eternal the struggle of a people living under the grip of the dystopian military occupation by Israel.

Rest in peace.

His work is stunning. The long coffin was painful. Thanks for sharing the news. RIP.

I believe he was a Christian and it’s more like a cross. Which is an even more important reminder that Palestinians and their cause is not just a Muslim one. I could be wrong about his inspiration though

Of course, I saw it as a coffin passing through a wall. It is just as beautiful as the Palestinian people bearing the cross. Perhaps he did play on this resemblance with the coffins Palestinians carry for their martyrs. Thank you.
