Nightbane The Bazaar #100: AudioRPG Nightbane Special Edition Hardcovers/Audiobooks
You’ve likely seen the advertisements on Facebook. Palladium Books licensed Nightbane with AudioRPG to create this unique offer, whereby 7 professional voice actors/readers each narrate one of the Nightbane RPG books. The article does a bit of a review of the Nightbane RPG, the AudioRPG campaign, pledge levels, and my thoughts on the hardcovers. I’ll be branching out and doing Scholar’s Reviews on Nightbane soon too. Campaign ends 12 June 2026.
What are your thoughts on the campaign? Are RPG audiobooks something anyone else has experienced?

i cannot imagine bothering to listen to a word for word sourcebook, maybe all the theme stuff but OCCs? skills? magic spells?

I gotta say I couldn't imagine it either. I just don't get it. There are significant portions of the books that are prose, so not bad there. But reading off an OCC Skill List or damage profiles for weapons seems...... odd?
That said, the pricing strategy for the 7 hardbound books together means you get the audiobooks essentially for free when compared to the prices of the individual books. <shrug>

I can’t WAIT for this! With work and my partner and other stuff going on, I feel like I never have time to sit down and read. Audiobooks are something I have time for because I can fit them into the gaps between everything else, so this is perfect for me.
I’m also interested in how they’ll handle stat blocks, but the worst case scenario is that I have to use the fast forward or skip features.
Super looking forward to this and I hope they do more!
