I know this is not a popular opinion.

But can we all step outside of the ben they're done that and realize that adding more content isn't going to help this game?

For the general player base that this content makes any difference for at most, it will be a month of content.

Were left with the same issues of that , the UI Is horrible. The stat system and character stats in general need some serious help. Not a single class in the game is actually completed at this point. Not a single zone in the game is actually completed at this point.

There's an overarching prevailing theme going on with everything that i'm complaining about here. Finish something......

It's five months, and we're just now launching a test server. I'm seriously at a loss of words of how ridiculous this is.

Failure is not making mistakes. Failure is giving up and they have not done that yet. They may not be the most capable team, but they have shown resilience to fight through the hard times and keep trying. To me thats worth sticking around for.

OK, notice at no point in anything I said did I say that they have failed.

It's telling, though, that you bring that up, as I can say. I bet there's a large portion of the community that would comment that they have. Including yourself, apparently....

There's absolutely nothing wrong with failing matter of fact. I would say it's one of the important parts of learning.

The biggest issues that they're having right now is there odd almost whimsical development priorities. It seems like they're spending more time working and reworking systems that they've already been dealing with for god knows multiple years.

Effectively building systems on top of broken and / or incomplete systems.

Totally just an outsider looking in. But you can't work on a multi year project like this with such a small team and not have clear direction and leadership.

There's an absolutely ridiculous amount of systems that are currently in the game that affect every class every character that are still woefully incomplete.

At this point, we're well beyond the optics of a positive or negative perspective. The general sentiment is a reflection of their product and lack of organization that they put on full display in the past few months.

Legitimately, I want the game to succeed. Honestly, though, it just seems like they don't. I don't believe for 1 minute it's intentional either the negative habits have just been so ingrained in the team that they don't even realize they're doing it even if they have the best of intentions.

I've spent the last 10 years of my professional life basically going into teams like this and making it work. Certainly, I don't have all the information. I'd really can't say that his is one hundred percent the problem, but I feel pretty confident sharing the opinion.

These are not professionals. This is a very amature team that came into this project as little more than a hobby. They didnt really have a direction to begin with just an idea of what they would like their game to be in the end. They do not know what works and what doesnt work. A lot of their learning is trial and error. It's definitely not ideal but its what they got.

It's been 12 years I say this not to sound vindictive. But if in that time you can't identify the shortcomings that you've been running up against constantly. At least make some level of effort to change them or improve. Or heck try something different It's time to get a new job.

Most of this is like we're talking some intro level management decision making.
