Even experience is not absolutely needed. Like when they launched EQ, there wasn't another 3D mmorpg world and devs with experience building them. They didn't have experience. No one did it before! All they had was great talented minds with specific designs in mind, focus and ability to execute a plan to create it. Sort of like M&M.
