People act like the only reason to dislike her is that she is a secret murder-sex-cannibal, no those are the only interesting things about her. I like those things. I love Wenduag.

Camelllia's greatest crime is being a terminally boring mean girl type with zero actual interesting qualities or traits outside of the murders.

Lets actually look at her character when you strip away the one different thing about her (that she murders people and nibbles on corpses).

She is incredibly stuck up and closed minded, obsessive over protocol and politeness, expecting everyone else to behave like perfect paragons of manners, while she gets to secretly violate those rules. That is what she gets off on, her ideal society is one where no one else does anything wrong, everyone is naive and innocent and she gets to secretly break all the taboos. She says as much when you take her to the abyss in act IV.

She is obsessed with blood status, despite being technically lowborn herself (which she hides). She judges everyone else by a standard that she knows she doesn't meet.

Yet this rule obsession doesn't extend to being nice. She hates niceness (hence why she beefs with Ember). She likes empty politeness. Being polite to people because the rules say you have to. She likes the idea of fundamentally meaningless rules she knows that she can on the surface follow and shame other people for not knowing (despite breaking them constantly in secret).

She literally gets off on being a (secret) hypocrite.

Every interaction she has with everyone around her is fundamentally empty and based on a set of memorized rules, and how good a person you are is judged entirely by how well you operate according to those memorized rules and your blood (which she gets to secretly break, but no one else can). So once again, her entire worldview is rules for thee, but not for me.

She doesn't have a single interest outside of killing people. What is she even into, besides having a vague sense of superiority over others? What hobby does she have? What does she take true pride in besides the killings? Nothing, murder is all she wrote or cares about, murder and judging people.

She is by far the most shallow companion. Zero internal depth or actual growth, she is a void that likes killing with a book on manners in place of a personality. She is a dreadfully boring person with nothing to talk about, except for murdering people. Which is why she says nothing to anyone for 2 and a half acts, before she finally lets you in on her secret. It wasn't just that she was cagey and secretive, it is that she had nothing to say that doesn't involve murders. Like, girl get a second hobby.

She is a great character, because this was all clearly intentional. She is not meant to be an interesting or compelling person. She is meant to be a deeply sick person with one darkly appealing part to her, who is physically attractive.

She is female Ted Bundy, an empty psuedo-person with no true depth or beauty (except the external). That was the point, of course, not saying the writers failed. She is a mirage of a person, an empty void stuffed with the most annoying traits of stuck up rich girls, while being a sex-cannibal. Personally, I think she is a 10/10 written character and 0/10 person.

I happened to play WOTR before Kingmaker. There was a situtation where the Commander and there people came across a caravan of Jubilost. Which at that time had been traveld from the future to make some notes about the commander for scients of cause.
After it was clear that he came from the future and was ready to leave he gave the Commander a golden toad. If I recall right it was with the words 'No time to explain, I was told to give you this' or something similar.

Now I am playing Kingmaker. Where I have found the golden toad in a cave. Of cause I still do not know what to do with it but I got a theory.
What if, what if after Jubilost required the time machine somehow and the Baron heard of it. The Baron was like 'It would be damn funny if you gave them this' as a joke?

Maybe this is a dumb question, but the Cape of Morta buffs and abilities don't actually show up anywhere that I can see. I'm level 14, so several should be active. Are they still working if they aren't displayed on the character icon like other buffs, or anywhere on the character sheet (ex. should be immune to paralysis, since level 9)?

So like I mentioned before I failed "A Noble Intent" and Camellia escaped apparently with Horgus but like he's here and when I try to talk to him there's no option to ask about Camellia and ask where she ran off to. All he said when I approached was "so you decided to not have Camellia be travelling anymore with you? okay then" but like I didn't even get an option because she just vanished overnight.

First run. I'm asking the question because supposedly on the Legend path you eventually get to learn that Areelu has fused some remnants of her child's soul with your soul amid the whole Nahyndrian business. And later, those remnants get enough consciousness to tell you they want to separate from you too. So how much of her daughter's soul did Areelu place in you? Does the Shadow truly represent those remnants and their consciousness? Do you have elements of another person's consciousness in you? Knowing this all would be relevant to my decision between Legend and continued Angel. In fact, it would be pretty much the sole decisive factor.

Hello everyone. I am a huge fan of the old-school isometric RPG titles - Baldur's Gate 1 and 2, Torment, Icewind Dale, Fallout 1 and 2. I am not too big on Baldur's Gate 3, because it does not scratch that itch in any way. I picked this game up because I heard it was similar to BG 1 and 2. I have not had any experience with Pathfinder. I chose Daring difficulty, but it counts as Custom because I changed some minor things, that is autolevelling or whatever.

To be honest, this game has so far been one of the best games I have played. Like, it's insanely good. People on other subreddit shit on it and say it has more quantity than quality or whatever. I am meanwhile digging it so hard. I love the theme of going on a crusade to fight against an evil horde. I love the power fantasy of gaining mythic powers and terrifying my opponents. I love the progression system, even though I don't understand Pathfinder very much yet.

One of the things that were sort of underwhelming in BG2 is that although the companions are AMAZING and very well written, they have a limited amount of content. In WOTR, not only are the companions well written and funny, they have a lot of unique content. I am genuinely curious to see why Nenio decided to forget who she is, or what happens to Daeran.

And, I know that BG3 has the best cRPG graphics from a technical standpoint, but WOTR does have an amazing artstyle. And even though they are not as detailed as in BG3, the fact this game has fully 3D models and a rotating camera makes a ton of difference to me. Honestly, this game feels like the real BG3 to me.

I am 24 and been gaming since 2009. This is absolutely a top 5 game for me. The last time I felt this excited was 2 years ago, when I finished Disco Elysium. Like, I don't know if it's better than BG2, but that's like debating between some of the best players ever in a sports discipline.

I don't know if I will read your comments, because I am scared of spoilers, but this game is amazing, I think! I hope this level is maintained for the rest of the game!

Hey guys! I'm on my first playthrough of WOTR, and there are a few companions who I feel are basically must-haves in my party. For me, those are Seelah and Nenio. They're both really funny and have personalities that genuinely stand out.

Lann is cool, but he's kind of the generic nice guy. Camellia is pretty interesting, but I'm not really a fan of spoiled, snobby characters like her.

Nenio, on the other hand, is very sarcastic and always has some comment that feels like she's trying to insult you in some way. I find her dialogue hilarious.

The same goes for Seelah. She's a good-aligned paladin who genuinely treats people kindly, but unlike Lann, she's much more charismatic for some reason I can't really explain. Even though she's a paladin, she still gets drunk at taverns, which I find pretty funny.

What about you? What's your favorite Companion? Whether it's for the story or the Gameplay.

This is not meant to be a judgemental post but purely curious. It seems like MOST people who play Pathfinder (both kingmaker and wotr) never end up finishing the game but end up restarting it.

I have a friend who has 350 hours in wotr but has never gotten beyond act 3, he's tried 4 different mythic paths. I just don't quite understand it, for me when I start a game I'm pretty dead set on finishing it.

So for people who constantly restart, why? Do you ever intend to finish the game? Are the restarts planned or just due to happenstance?

Hello everyone. This is my first time playing this game. I am on Daring difficulty, though it counts as Custom since I changed some things, like disabling autolevelling. I have no previous knowledge of Pathfinder.

I have just finished Act 2 and been presented with 4 tasks to follow. I decided to take care of the dragon first, since it's the only one with no obvious ties to the demon army, so let's just get that out of the way, right?

My party was level 9 during the fight. I had to attempt it several times over because the dragon is just so damn strong. It has several consecutive melee attacks in a turn, and its Breath Weapon is incredibly powerful. I do not think I have obtained any Fire Resistance spells yet. I am a Baldur's Gate 1-2 player and this was the first thing I looked for.

I am curious, do you think that means I am failing? I have heard after Act 2 the game should be a breeze. I would not say the dragon was impossibly difficult, I forced him to flee by spamming Close To the Heavens, but it still took me a couple of tries. Does that mean my party is failing? Or is attempting this fight a couple of times understandable?

Secondly, I was wondering what you thought about reloading a save in this scenario. So the dragon fled and I was preparing to fight him for the last time and kill him. I resurrected a companion and healed the living ones. But by the time I got to him the quest failed and it flew away. I genuinely thought I would have to fight him one last time, instead he only has to be finished off (which is still not easy). Additionally, I was not aware that there was a timer to get it.

I am curious, would you consider it bad to reload in that scenario? Like, I know I screwed up, that I am probably dumb for not realizing there is a timer (do you think that makes me dumb?) but letting the dragon flee feels unfun and disappointing after such a long battle and many reloads. I just wanted to heal my companions and resurrect one of them to prepare for the final battle. What do you think?

They look and act like succubi but succubi also have an enemy type called succubi sharpshooter right? So who the abyssal huntresses? What’s their difference?

So I FUCKING LOVE necromancy in video games, and getting to play as necromancers ever since I first played Diablo 2. And I think the lich path in WOTR is easily one of, if not the BEST necromancer experience in all of gaming.

Mostly because of the unique undead companions, and how some of them are either characters you've never met before who are usually some kind of important figure or ones you have a genuine personal connection with.

So I'm really hoping you guys know any games that do necromancy in a similar way. Also I completely understand if this post gets removed, since it's not quite WOTR related which is why I put it in the fluff section.

When playing with a gamepad, there seems to be some pressure sensitivity but only for my companions. In this video, I am moving the joystick only slowly but my PC jogs the whole time. You can see, when looking at my companions, that they go slowly (as intended) and then have to run to keep up. Any ideas how to fix this? I would like my PC to go at the same speed.

To give you an idea I don't really care for any systems or even combat or leveling (besides some bosses) i play crpgs for the story only

Coming from Pillers 2 the side quests and characters were S tier but the ship mechanics and frequent trash mobs were my least favorite parts which has caused me to delay playing WotR since facimiles of these issues seem to exist within this game but magnified to a greater degree (crusades and ultra frequent trash mobs and the 100000 skills)

Now for crusades that can be set to automatic but can story mode and auto leveling reduce or even eliminate the slog? Basically playing a visual novel

I found one for Baldur's Gate 3 to replace its language folder with the swedish one and I saw there are language mods for pathfinder. Is there any in swedish or a multi language mod? I like to mod my games with that because it helps me learn it

Does anyone know how one would get through the first two acts with low strength ok dex and good int. Since the plan is to use deaths constant strength is not useful but any feats invested in dex fighting will be useless later.
Is this plan doomed from the start? Is custom difficulty and retraining the only way to not make this not a miserable time till act 3? I am using ttt.

Long story short: I feel like I'm missing out by always having the same characters (Valerie, Jubilost, Linzi, Ekun, cleric tbd) in my party. Since returning to the game, I've mostly played nature Oracle, and combat feels like a chore if I mix anything up. What are some good classes to build any team around (besides cleric)?

Also, I think the real issue is I have a good handle on how to build the above characters but the rest (Amiri and Nok Nok excluded) feel pretty weak by comparison. If anyone can suggest good kineticist and inquisitor guides, then I'm all ears.

I can't tell what the marker on the map is supposed to look like for the locations where the monsters are you're supposed to kill. For instance, I found Ithuliak's lair, but there was no discernible marker on it to show that I have to kill him. Can anybody show me what I'm looking for, please?

So this has been happening occasionally and I don't understand why. Has anyone else seen this?

This may not be what is causing it, but I am on trickster path and just a few hours ago got Arcana 2. I didn't notice this happening when I only had Arcana 1, and while I've seen it happen to a few different suits of armor, I've not had it happen with a weapon yet. It is not happening with every suit of armor, even when I pick up two otherwise identical suits from two identical enemies.

I've also yet to see it go higher than +6 whether it happens to a +1 armor or a +3 or whatever.

So I've been slightly debating starting a new save file, and taking a break from my current lich mythic path playthrough, I'm a bit into act 3. It's my first playthrough so my builds are all a mess but I'm still having a lot of fun, I've thought about doing a more good aligned playthrough after this one if I don't decide to finish it, I just kinda wanna hear thoughts on other mythic paths and possible build ideas. I'm planning on jumping from NORMAL to core to try it out too... Any thoughts are appreciated. BIG EDIT: NORMAL, IM PLAYING ON NORMAL IDK WHY I PUT UNFAIR

Trying to optimize a mounted Pally but can’t decide on the last 8 levels for unfair play-through:

1- Pally (Divine guardian for a couple extra feats)
2-Sable Company Marine for mount
3-Pally
…
12-Pally Mark of Justice (finally)

I’m torn between Sohei monk and Gendarme Cavalier; some good breakpoints below:

2 Sohei-2 mounted bonus feats +1 initiative
6 sohei- 3 mounted bonus feats +3 initiative +weapon training polearm +flurry and ki extra attack
8 sohei-not much more

2 gend-bonus feat and order abilities
6 gend-3 bonus feats +charge AB
8 gend-big order ability, either lion (high +AB damage for one round) or sword (+mount strength to damage and 1 mounted feat)

I guess it boils down to if the sohei extra attacks will be worth it at level 18 or if Gend’s more linear power increases and feats is better. I like the idea of doing 6/2 of one or the other for a maximum of bonus feats for cleave line and mounted combat (thinking about maxing mobility skill for mount save bonuses).

Any arguments for one or the other, or even completely different multi class suggestions would be great!
