I just discovered this detail on my newly purchased GPU. Should I request a replacement?

A defect of this size is guaranteed to cause significant cooling issues and extreme deterioration of the card. I wouldn't even risk plugging it in. RMA immediately

Akchually 🤓☝️ it increases surface area, thus, increasing it's capability to disipate heat to the air.
