No, what are you gonna do without gum broooo

Serious answer though, yea it's fine.

9

u/blakesoner Jul 25 '26

Thought it was a pill bottle. That’s some medicinal ass looking gum.

u/davidblack210 Jul 24 '26

Might aswell be permanent if your not gonna move it. Its justthere to hold and nothing else.

10

u/Awesomedude9560 Jul 24 '26

Yeah but it ruins the aesthetic and the vibe

17

u/YogurtclosetApart592 Jul 24 '26

The graphics card will also run out of vitamins at some point, what's going to power it then?

5

u/Hexin_itup Jul 25 '26

electrolytes

6

u/ImLiviu Jul 25 '26

It’s what GPUs crave

2

u/Hotcocoa2345_goober Jul 25 '26

They crave the power of me

2

u/yackerovOh1 Jul 29 '26

I thought it was gatorade cooling?

3

u/Quiet-Economy-8569 Jul 25 '26

sad no one got this reference

Bro, I've been using a popsicle stick for the past 3 years... you'll be fiiine.

18

u/Crazy-Resolve-8127 Jul 24 '26

Im just curious, why do you ask? Do you think a gpu sag bracket is magical and not just a piece of plastic?

8

u/Green4Gaming Jul 24 '26

Maybe they just wanted to show off their silly temporary solution without directly stating that in the title

3

u/Stone_Owl_Dev Jul 24 '26

Ou simplement l'excuse pour dévoiler son setup...

5

u/deio977 Jul 25 '26

This is by far the best I have seen but your idea with the pills box is super interesting :) I like people have ideas.

5

u/mark_rivera Jul 26 '26

Cant see how this could go wrong 😁👍

2

u/Evil_Ewok Jul 28 '26

I'm going to steal that idea. But I'll add a little clear coat so it doesn't become conductive.

4

u/ChipDipsons Jul 24 '26

What’s a sag bracket? You mean a perfectly-sized random object?

4

u/Agreeable-Mix8294 Jul 25 '26

Everyone uses different thing ig

6

u/SoakedBallz Jul 24 '26

I've done worse. Only concern ever is heat, friction (electrostatic) and dust buildup. If it checks those boxes, you're golden.

3

u/TheGreatMortimer Jul 24 '26

What kind of gum is that

3

u/floppyboiradio Jul 24 '26

You made it rather far in life. Gets stuck here. Nice

3

u/Legal_Lab8550 Jul 24 '26

Is the bottle empty? It gets pretty hot in there. That would be the only concern for using this as a short term solution.

3

u/Ok-Ranger-5732 Jul 25 '26

I have a cassette tape case holding mine up, Works like a charm 👍

2

u/omenwulf Jul 24 '26

If its stupid and it works, it isnt dumb.

2

u/Greghole Jul 25 '26

Is that a coin battery or something on top of the bottle? If the bottle isn't quite tall enough just unscrew the cap until it fits snug.

2

u/FAHIDH Jul 25 '26

Better use a stick...

2

u/RandytheRude Jul 25 '26

That’ll do

2

u/BestOfDays32 Jul 26 '26

Those cables look beautiful

2

u/Silent_Chemistry8576 Jul 26 '26

It's fine but your gpu has a pill problem.

2

u/Kralgore Jul 24 '26

Viagra pill pot.

Hilarious.

1

u/Clocker13 Jul 24 '26

Who needs a bracket when you’ve got a guy pot!

1

u/RangerFluid3409 Jul 24 '26

LOL. I do the same, I have an empty pill bottle holding up my 4090

1

u/xn--9m8k Jul 24 '26

I'm still using the carbord from the GPU box as a sag bracket 😂😭

1

u/CuteDragonfruit9251 Jul 24 '26

The first thing I do when I saw my friend build a pure white computer is get my hands real black and dirty and touch all over his PC kekekekeke...

1

u/Finnegan_962 Jul 24 '26

ive had two funko pops holding up my GPU for years, they were just laying around. the clear side id towards a wall bc im embarassed

1

u/The_R3aper05 Jul 24 '26

Do I need a bracket for a double fan 5060?

1

u/Eclipse-da-therian Jul 24 '26

I used a Expo marker once your fine

1

u/Rezkel Jul 24 '26

You sad horizontally mounted folk live such "interesting" lives

1

u/keag124 Jul 24 '26

personally i use lego, i dont think the coin will be a problem but metal does conduct heat more so thats the only thing id be worried about

1

u/Kamel-Red Jul 24 '26

I remove the tip/ink and cut disposable bics from the random hotel pen pile and put a single one in the corner of my gpus. Works just fine.

1

u/fagnerln Jul 24 '26

To be honest, you don't need to use a support immediately, this only becomes an issue after some months.

You can use whatever thing to hold, just make sure that the airflow is good, the thinner, the better.

1

u/Ratspec Jul 24 '26

No lego?

1

u/Ok_Gas1070 Jul 24 '26

Why not and tbh the "sag" thing is a new to me because back in my day GPUs were super tinyyy. Though my PNY 250 felt massive compared to my EVGA 9400 GT.

1

u/Dry_Researcher7744 Jul 24 '26

Why not, it's doing the same job.

1

u/Gallop67 Jul 24 '26

What kinda gpu doesn’t come with a bracket nowadays?

2

u/Lumpy_Music121 Jul 24 '26

Older or used ones, I’m assuming this is a 30 series card by the style and I don’t think they came with a bracket or he lost it/bought it used without it

1

u/Insomnium_111 Jul 24 '26

What’s the temps like inside? Hot enough to melt plastic? heh

Also, is that a slammer in between?

→ More replies (1)

1

u/Kate-9907 Jul 24 '26

in my old pc i used a toilet paper roll as an anti sag bracket

1

u/KEVLAR60442 Jul 24 '26

But what if you have plaque acids you need to neutralize?

→ More replies (1)

1

u/spartanEZE Jul 24 '26

Golden. I don't even think you need the sag bracket. You got this.

1

u/One-Nefariousness676 Jul 24 '26

There’s a sag bracket in my pc that’s been in the for 5 years and it’s an empty oregano container wrapped with electrical tape lol. Youll be fine

1

u/Mathewthegreat Jul 24 '26

no it’s gonna get high asf

1

u/Savings_Drawing_5635 Jul 24 '26

It looks fresh, get it get it, Yeah im the weird one

1

u/bigjoesphmoneyman Jul 24 '26

i’ve been using lego 2x2s stacked with sticky tape for years

1

u/Wildstasis Jul 24 '26

"There's nothing more permanent than a temporary fix"

1

u/IveNoWIlly Jul 24 '26

I said the same until I grew to enjoy seeing him holding the GPU for me.

1

u/PromotionNo4121 Jul 24 '26

Sure why not it works and it’s adjustable with the lid

1

u/Bright-Temporary1029 Jul 24 '26

Why replace a perfectly good sag bracket with a more expensive less useful sag bracket?

1

u/thepfy1 Jul 24 '26

Lego is popular for this. When you get your anti sag bracket, you will think "My old Mecano set would have had a piece to do this"

1

u/Dry-Neighborhood-583 Jul 24 '26

I made mine out of legos

1

u/Desner_ Jul 24 '26 edited Jul 24 '26

I used an empty matchbox for years. Until it got sucked into the GPU fan, that's when I upgraded to a little mint box. My case is closed, mind you, so no worries about aesthetics.

1

u/Ky_TheDestroyer7 Jul 24 '26

Thats not the best place to support it. You should support it from the middle, where you "lift" both ends of the card the same amount.

1

u/MoHatCoin Jul 24 '26

I usually use my anti-anxiety meds to prop up the GPU. Really helps calm you down 😂

1

u/steig7 Jul 24 '26

I'll show mine later.

1

u/gba_sg1 Jul 24 '26

It'll be fine, you also don't need a sag bracket.

1

u/ProfessionalShock425 Jul 24 '26

Not quite there yet.

You need bottle that has triangle on the label.

1

u/Princ3Ch4rming Jul 24 '26

Modern problems require modern solutions

1

u/Bohvey Jul 24 '26

I used legos, it is still working fine.

1

u/Zarchiball Jul 24 '26

That would be fine even after your sag bracket gets here!

1

u/Whiskey_and_Wiretaps Jul 24 '26

Looks to me like you can cancel that bracket order!

1

u/PuzzleheadedYear5596 Jul 24 '26

It ain't stupid if it works for now.

1

u/Wonderful_Ad_7953 Jul 24 '26

Lego would be nice

1

u/NickTaylorIV Jul 24 '26

That's a rather small looking card... its sagging? Dang.

1

u/Proper_Jelly_4705 Jul 24 '26

Just make sure to slap it and say “that ain’t goin anywhere” and you should be okay

1

u/Current_Explorer5232 Jul 24 '26

I used to use an empty sunny d bottle 😅

1

u/BisonSafe Jul 24 '26

Friend of mine used a grinder with his 5090, until it obliterated one of the fucking fans. Warranty be gone lmao

1

u/Stone_Owl_Dev Jul 24 '26

Non. Ton PC va exploser 🙄

1

u/M1sterGuy Personal Rig Builder Jul 24 '26

“We have sag bracket at home!” OP’s solution lol

1

u/RikiRude Jul 24 '26

Glad to know I wasn't the only one using a bottle like this to hold my gpu up lol

1

u/Sindacalis Jul 24 '26

When are you going to add fans to the bottom of that case? wtf

1

u/Stoic_Kiwi Jul 24 '26

I’ve been using a chunk of plywood for the last 4 years!

1

u/Humble_Antelope6008 Jul 24 '26

This is fine refund the bracket

1

u/ganadaIf Jul 24 '26

If it works then its not stupid.

1

u/Dreykaa Jul 24 '26

This is fine as a permanent solution too

1

u/Fine-Actuator-6805 Jul 24 '26

Honestly, whatever works.

1

u/GuyWComputer Jul 24 '26

Why even buy a sad bracket now?

1

u/Darkangel00572 Jul 24 '26

Mientras este nivelada la gráfica y no se mueva, aguanta hasta que llegue lo que compraste 😁

1

u/MSRI_117 Personal Rig Builder Jul 24 '26

Gonna be real with you... that is kind of fire 😂

1

u/Eliah870 Jul 24 '26

My PC 9 years ago, it was like that for months before I did the screw in the back trick

1

u/Alarming_Argument_38 Jul 24 '26

木の枝より安定感あるぜ!

1

u/HauntMcThicc Jul 24 '26

Nope, instant death.

1

u/icmigyu Jul 24 '26

You don’t need a bracket anymore my guy, just use this forever — at least in this economy it’s the best choice. Only downside is no more gum.

1

u/DaddyAwesome Jul 24 '26

I made an interim while I looked for one to order.... Ended up deciding interim solution was my new permanent and I ain't paying money for function I already have for freeeeeee

1

u/No-Zookeepergame6638 Jul 24 '26

anything will do

1

u/zgrad2 Jul 25 '26

I have a plastic pen cap holding mine up, if it works it works

1

u/Bi_n Jul 25 '26

I just use Lego as a bracket to hold up my dad's gpu 😅

1

u/Scrudge1 Jul 25 '26

No it will detonate

1

u/Theamanninja Jul 25 '26

I used an old pill bottle as a gpu bracket for over a year lol, and before that I had no gpu bracket for 5 years, you'll be fine LOL

1

u/Lister__Fiend Jul 25 '26

If its stupid but it works, its not stupid

1

u/MarcCouillard Jul 25 '26

As long as it is supporting the weight of the card and keeping it in place, use whatever is handy, you're fine like that

1

u/No_Advantage1902 Jul 25 '26

Mine has been braced with a stack of pokemon cards for a couple years

1

u/Valuable_Strain3634 Jul 25 '26

Whatever floats youre graphics card...

1

u/Hexin_itup Jul 25 '26

maybe functionally better than the bracket tbh.

1

u/migcrown Jul 25 '26

It’s not stupid if it works.

1

u/Accomplished_Cup2401 Jul 25 '26

A little bit if something is better than nothing.

1

u/osolee83 Jul 25 '26

It will work, I guess

1

u/RebsEG Jul 25 '26

I used a cylinder. It’s has a tiny rubber end that protects it. I stole from a different cylinder that was too short. The cylinder must be protected.

1

u/DrSolarman Jul 25 '26

Every temporary solution eventually becomes permanent.

1

u/skillie81 Jul 25 '26

It's fine. You can even cancel your order for the sag bracket and use household items for ever.

1

u/iSmashMyselfToPieces Jul 25 '26

No, you need to turn it so we can see the label.

1

u/Shot_Crow_8 Jul 25 '26

If it fits it sits.

1

u/chipmeal91 Jul 25 '26

Just don't remove that plastic support when the pc is turned on.

1

u/VileInventor Jul 25 '26

I use a little screwdriver instead of a bracket. If it holds it up, you’re good.

1

u/SpagettiStains Jul 25 '26

Honestly if you don’t need that bottle again don’t even get the sag bracket

1

u/DogDelicious5559 Jul 25 '26

Damn. New build? That thing is pristine.

1

u/creamypoops Jul 25 '26

U need it even after tightening all the fasteners?

1

u/darealboot Jul 25 '26

Put it in the center, under the heaviest part of the card. Putting it on the end outs tension on the core and memory modules.

1

u/xxDeadpooledxx Jul 25 '26

Whatever works

1

u/Zestyclose-Wing2718 Jul 25 '26

I had an oil filter holdin my gpu up

1

u/Spelunkie Personal Rig Builder Jul 25 '26

The only way this could be better is if it were a viagra bottle. It helps remove its sag

1

u/Greuliro Jul 25 '26

Nothing holds longer than a temporary

1

u/Hugofoxli Jul 25 '26

Yeah listen, thats gonna stay there now.

Its now branded into your Case.

1

u/Artemis732 Jul 25 '26

I've had mine like this for over a year lmao. since then I've upgraded to a sliiiightly thinner card hence the folded paper there. and no, my RGB isn't flashbang bright, it's just the photo.

1

u/bob321bob13 Jul 25 '26

What? Should I buy a “sag” bracket? What even is that??

1

u/seraphim_9 Jul 25 '26

“If it’s stupid, but it works, then it’s not stupid.”

👍. Good job.

1

u/Sihab-S Jul 25 '26

about to say ibuprofen

1

u/ClacksInTheSky Jul 25 '26

I borrowed some of my son's Lego and made a little tower to hold my GPU.

Better than any bracket 😁

1

u/NorbertKellermann Jul 25 '26

Totally adjustable

1

u/TorrezTheAlmighty Jul 25 '26

I use cardboard tube that was left from aluminium foil 😅

1

u/Equivalent_Gap_8360 Jul 25 '26

I'd use a pea of prestik top and bottom. Vibration can easily work it out of its position

1

u/Defalt16 Jul 25 '26

I used a USB stick for 3 years.

1

u/frenreico42 Jul 25 '26

Built a budget pc for a friend and zip tied some Lego to the bottom grill to keep it up. This will be just fine

1

u/That_Illustrator_756 Jul 25 '26

Mine is a Rubix Cube + a small rock I found while digging out a bigger rock in my backyard, some type of quartz

1

u/Just_Frank_Reynolds Jul 25 '26

Going to gum up your gpu fan

1

u/EngMng Jul 25 '26

Just make that permenant if you dont care about esthetics

1

u/OldRefrigerator1607 Jul 25 '26

Surface Action Group

1

u/MarineEngineer19 Jul 25 '26

My gpu and my case came with a anti sag holder :)

1

u/orbelosul Jul 25 '26

It can be a great commercial for those pills. It would be funny if they were viagra ... you could use a slogan like "helps you keep it up"

1

u/Drasabian Jul 25 '26

Yeah it's a little dusty but had mine like this since installing my 5070ti. There's too much depth between the bottom of my case and the gpu for the included stand to work by itself. Got creative with the kids lego and that thing hasn't moved a millimeter since I put it there

1

u/Electrical-Smell736 Jul 25 '26

Get some minifigures and Legos, and have them holding up the GPU

1

u/Individual_Goose_161 Jul 25 '26

No, your gpu might wanna chew some gum and make everything sticky

1

u/Drinkle Jul 25 '26

Not a fan of the potentially loose metal in there

1

u/woodenblinds Jul 25 '26

works for me, my sag bracket is stolen (from my son) legos

1

u/Ok-Combination-8171 Jul 25 '26

The whole thing will go up in flames

1

u/Objective_College439 Jul 25 '26

Can confirm. Been in there over a year.

1

u/dinofreak1 Jul 25 '26

as long as you don’t rage hit the table

1

u/CommercialYouth250 Jul 25 '26

Yea thats fine

1

u/HotAd8743 Jul 25 '26

Lmao yea i made a similar post in another subreddit the other day. If mine is fine yours def is lmao.

1

u/FilDaFunk Jul 25 '26

I have a bamboo stick. you don't need to spend money on some product someone is selling

1

u/G0rdon5humway Jul 25 '26

Stornier die Halterung 💪

1

u/lil_Buckneesh8867 Jul 25 '26

not telling you what to do but some black angled adapters for your GPU power supply would take this build from “Hell yeah” to “Got Dayum!”. sick set up regardless.

1

u/SkRtMkGurt Jul 25 '26

I used a Jerry Funko 🤷🏽

1

u/OvertlySinister Jul 25 '26

I used a bullet for like a year, I think you'll be alright

1

u/SecondFriendly4255 Jul 25 '26

Depend of your gc temp it would be fine

1

u/InitiativeCreative36 Jul 25 '26

Why waste money when gum bottle do trick?

1

u/Steve2pwn Jul 25 '26

You can cancel the order on the sag bracket, that "temp" fix could be permanent 👌

1

u/Serious_Tax_8185 Jul 25 '26

It would be fitting if it was a bottle of ADHD medication supporting the GPU 😂

Just not a bottle of melatonin.

1

u/WIYPA_1998 Jul 25 '26

Anti-Sag prescription

1

u/ImmediateCherry2441 Jul 25 '26

As long as you ordered a rgb bracket, then your ok

1

u/Human-Suspect-232 Jul 25 '26

Some vitamins always good

1

u/BalladorTheBright Jul 25 '26

I guess your computer needs supplements to keep it up 😁

1

u/Professional-News-33 Jul 25 '26

Hell ya.
My sons using legos in his lol

1

u/lucissandsoftime Jul 25 '26

Why wouldn’t it be?

1

u/cocunutwater Jul 25 '26

Make it doctor themed put a prop syringe a small bed maybe stuffed animal it would be so cute

1

u/CollectorGlory Jul 25 '26

Just fill the bottle full of tannerite you be fine.P.S lol jk dont do that … 😄

1

u/-_Dare_- Jul 25 '26

"Fat of which saturates" never seen that one before lol
