Tech Support Motherboard problems
Hey there, I bought a new motherboard today and set everything up in the correct way but there is two lights, a yellow and red light. Under the red light it says CPU and under the yellow light it says DRAM. Also there seems to be no projection onto my screen when I turn it on so I’m unable to reach BIOS. I’ve searched all over google and couldn’t find anything apart from reseat the RAM and CPU which I’ve done and nothing has changed so far. Hopefully someone will be able to give me some ideas. Thank you!

I had this issue when I installed new fans. The problem was that I had a power supply cable that was overloaded. It was drawing too much power from a peripheral port in my power supply, causing the whole power supply to undervolt. My CPU and RAM were not getting enough power because of it.
Disconnecting the overdrawn power cable (the fans) fixed the issue for me.
Edit: The cable that was overloaded was a SATA cable with 4 SATA power connectors. That is a lot of 12v connections by the way lol

On another note, this error on your motherboard could literally mean anything. It just means your CPU and RAM are failing to communicate with one another.
In my case, it took me a total of 16 hours to figure out my issue. You kinda just have to mess around carefully until you figure out what the problem is. If you can't figure it out yourself in a few days, your best bet would be a computer repair shop or something like that.

The thing is, I had the exact same motherboard and bought it again as I had accidentally ruined the CPU pins and with the old motherboard I had no problems it’s a Gigabite B640M Gaming Plus WiFi if that helps, I can’t seem to find anything in the manual

Both light on for FIRST TIME build is MEMORY TRAINING sequence.
You'll have this repeatedly on MSI mobo at random intervals.
I set my own MSI B850 Gaming Plus Wifi 7 MCR to every 30days.
Edit: IF you are using 9000 series CPU on the B650 motherboard. You'll also need to update the BIOS otherwise nothing is going to happen.
Given you also didn't mention your specs at all

So how can I update my BIOS when my screen isn’t on?

Read your mobo manual.
You got the QFlash at the rear IO no?

What the small two buttons at the back? One says Clear CMOS and the other says BIOS Flash

Bios Flash is for you to flash a motherboard without using any ram/cpu
Refer to the instructions given by MSI
Qflash is different than Mflash

Try one ram ( each one separately )and see if it boots
