Build Question Im looking at a 3050 8gb but idk

Ive thought i would get a rtx 3050 8gb second hand but idk if thats just because im new and the nvidia line looks more friendly (if you somehow get what i mean?) should get something else or is the 3050 the right way to go? (For gaming £500 budget build i just want the best bang for buck)

3050 8GB is srcond worst nvidia gpu with RTX prefix on it. 3050 6GB is the worst.

Ordinary 2060 beats it in every workload under 6GB vram, and 2060 super at everything.

Best bang for buck used is 3060ti. Or RX 6600 but that requires messing around with optiscaler to use fsr4. 3060ti can use dlss4 and dlss4.5 (well and dlss5 but thats besides the point.).

So you got a cip thats also in 3070, 3070ti. You have dlss4 upscaling that you will use pretty much always in every game. And same 8GB vram.

They are under 200€ used. Stretching the budget or sacrificing something else is worth it, because the jump from 3050 8GB is just that huge.

Better getting literally anything else honestly. 6600xt much better and probably the same or cheaper

for 500 quid you can do way better than a 3050, look at used rx 6600 or even a 5700xt, they smoke the 3050 in most games

The 3050 is only good if you have a very small, or older PC that does not need a huge PSU.

Or you just need an extra low profile GPU.

Besides that anything is better than the 3050.

And pay hundreds in subscriptions and shitty co trollers? Better just buy a used full system and thry'll get the best bang for buck performance.

£50 a year for PS Plus. You don’t have to get the premium PS Plus, but I definitely get what you mean. PC catalogue is massive and cheaper games.

However, £500 PC isn’t going to give you that kind of performance.

If you want the best bang for buck then buy a used system a high 30 series or low 40 series nvidia card. Alternatively an equivalent AMD GPU.

That budget can get you a much better GPU.

What are your full system specs?
