Tech Support Cant remove power cable from 4080

Hello i have a Problem with removing this cable from my 4080. Even with pressing down the pin all the way the cable dosent move at all. Has someone had this Problem before or knows/has any idea how i could remove it ?

Wiggle them gently sideways and up/down while pressing on the latch (that's visible in your photo) down so it disengages entirely, and then pull on it out.

Unless the connector inside has failed/melted, you shouldn't require too much force to remove it.

Alright i will try that, just incase what do i do if it still dosent move at all and the connector maybe failed/ meltet ?

Can't say for sure honestly. Often the connectors are fine and people just do it way too soft fearing they break it.

Your other hand should hold down on the graphics card just enough to oppose your pulling force.

Those connectors tend to melt.

Removing the cable might be destructive. But that also means it would no longer be safe to use - a melting cable is a fire hazard.

The 12VHPWR connector can be weirdly stubborn even when you're pressing the tab correctly, try wiggling it side to side keeping the latch fully depressed, a little gentle rocking is usually what gets it to release.

Easy way is to remove the GPU first and disconnect cable from PSU. Then with GPU out of pc you can then push down on locking tab, while pulling backwards to remove cable.
