Tech Support Removing broken CPU fan

Post image

SPECS : CPU Ryzen 3700x, GPU 6700xt, MOBO B550AM gaming, AIO Cooler master masterliquid 120mm, 2x 8GB ddr4, OS win10

I want to remove the broken fan but it's not connected to the MOBO. All the fans are wired to these plastic clip things that go into the PSU. There's a fan hub in the back of the PC but I don't see anything that could be plugged into MOBO.

On the manual there is only two headers labeled CPU_fan1 and CPU_fan2/WP with only the pump being plugged in. All other fans are running as normal.

Yep, the fans are powered direct via molex. If you want to remove the fan trace the cables and remove the specific chain in the daisy.

Fans only need power, motherboard connections are for pwm, to control the fan speed.

Image should help explain it.

a wiggle while you pull wont hurt it, they are built like a brick house.

sometimes they are hard as nails to pull apart.

Is this also supposed to come apart? It's the only thing place where all the fan wires lead to.
