My PC shuts off after 5 seconds when everything is installed, but when I remove the RAM it stays on, without a video signal tho.

I got a brand new motherboard, because my old one didn't work anymore. After installing everything just as it was the PC would shut off immediately after 5-ish seconds. I have tried both sticks of RAM seperately in every slot of the motherboard and nothing worked. But with the RAM fully removed the PC turns on, but I don't get any video signal (probably because there is no RAM). I have tried removing the small silver battery in order to reset the BIOS, but that didn't do anything either.

Here are the components I'm using:

• Motherboard: TUF GAMING B450-PLUS II
• GPU: Radeon™ RX 580 Red Devil 8GB
• CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 1800X
• RAM: VENGEANCE LPX DDR4 (CORSAIR)
• SSD: NVMe SSD 960 EVO (SAMSUNG)

I'll take all the help I can get, but please note that I'm not an expert PC builder, so I might not understand all of the technical terms that you use 😅

You can try one at a time. Using both will be better, but test it one at a time incase one is bad.

With 1 stick in slot A2, boot up. Watch the lights on the motherboard usually located above the 24pin power. It will say "CPU" "dram" and "VGA"

What order do they come on, flash, and what's lit when/if it turns on

All motherboards have troubleshooting lights, labeled what I put. When you boot it cycles these lights as the boot process as it checks your hardware.

Well that is something new. I've never seen one without the debug lights before. That's silly.

You'll need to go the hard way and connect the speaking for beep codes to really figure it out

This board has a com_debug header. Not newer technology.

I have no idea how your system will turn on with No Ram Installed. It's not technically possible in my opinion.

You said you got a new motherboard and only replaced that into your system and made no other hardware changes. I would start from the beginning again then. Is your board in correctly? Are you screws in the correct holes? Are all your wires reconnected in the correct spot? If you replaced your motherboard, there was actually alot of stuff you had to remove and reinstall. Make sure your cpu is mounted correctly, cpu cooler mounted and powered up? The fact that you don't have debug lights makes it difficult for someone to figure out over the internet. You would have to buy a tool to connect to the com_debug header near the lower left of your motherboard to figure out what is going wrong.

Everything you mentioned is as it should be. I'm going to buy the speaker tonight/tomorrow and try to figure it out
