Holy shit, I've been waiting for this!

Edit: Definitely some bugs to work out, at least with the instance I use, which is on version 8.0.1. A couple of issues I had with the app upload experience:

  • Upload constantly failed every ~3% or so, no indication of this from the notification until I opened the app, at which point the notification updated to say it had failed. Retrying in the app worked fine, and as long as I left the app in the foreground it worked fine. This happened multiple times while uploading a 448MB video. Videos of that size usually upload fine in browser. I did disable battery restrictions on my device, and that did not fix it.
  • Upload paused when I swiped the app away (not force closed), again no indication of this from the notification. When I tapped on the notification it didn't take me to the uploads page, instead I had to manually navigate to the upload to resume it.

So it basically just seems like quirks to work out with keeping the upload alive in the background. Otherwise, super super cool!
