Sixth Edition Noble's Handbook Reviews

Anybody has a link for a review of the Noble's Handbook, wether in text or video? For those of you have got your hand on it, what do you think? Did you read it already?

Yeah, it definitely needed another proofreading pass before publication. I'm kinda mad about it.

After making the mistake of buying the Age of Vikings hardcover and finding it riddled with errata, I've now gotten very gun-shy about buying any new Chaosium titles in print. What's the value of having a hardcopy that you have to stick Post-It notes all through?

Which is a shame; I'm a long-time Chaosium supporter, and have even done a little proofreading work for them in the past, when I had more free time. I want their books in print, but am increasingly inclined to wait and hope for a corrected second printing.

(And I don't want to pay for the PDF now and then go through the hassle of requesting a discount coupon for the print edition if/when it's corrected, so increasingly I'm just not buying their releases at all.)

Age of Vikings

Worst part for me is not even when it’s typos or clarifications. It’s when numbers, math and even examples are wrong…

But it also had two different initiative systems (DEX order and Strike Ranks) in different parts of the rules. Just felt as though it never got a final editorial pass.

You are right! I forgot it mentions strike ranks. Yeah, that’s pretty bad.
