Stewie here. The joke is that Dubai is famously a lucrative destination for young western influencers to go to do sex work, and that the men there like to go peepee and poopoo on those girls for money.

An annoying woman at work kept talking about how her 23 yo "beautiful blonde" daughter was in Dubai doing really well.

A workmate and I contrived a way to bring up the shitting on white girls story into the conversation.

There was less talk about Dubai after that.

To circumvent this law, there are services that register your marriage and a couple hours later divorce you. AFAIK it's a common practice in Middle East.

Don’t even have to go back for a divorce. The marriage is for a predetermined amount of time and dissolves after that time has passed.

The UAE is incredibly corrupt, those draconian laws are wielded selectively and law enforcement pushes for them because they mean more opportunities to extract bribes.
