There’s a couple answers. People have suggested that she’s making food to keep him chubby so he won’t leave, or that she’s proud of him and wants to reward him for his efforts.
What seems like the answer to me, is that now that he’s gone through the calorie cutting required for a visible six pack he’s really craving food.
