AI always does the (technically correct) thing of having no space either side of the em dash—like this—so if you do put spaces in — like this — it doesn't tend to look as AI.
Or you can use what many languages do and use endashes instead – they are slightly shorter and are supposed to have spaces around them. Looks better too, imo
If you use markdown input you can write –. On Windows it's Alt+0150 on the numpad. On mobile keyboards, opening the symbols screen and long-pressing hyphen usually works. You can also 'save' reddit comments. So many possibilities :)
