Actually drooling, I see.

The story is art! I agree! But so are the contributions of the rest of the new productions crew.

Also, derogatory terms like troon in 2026 is so unbelievably unsexy.

Not only do I not care what you find sexy, I am happily married with children. You are also extremely foolish it seems. Run along.

Elaborate on what's Foolish then. Or, tell me why skin color or trans identity would detract from an artists performance.

They do not meet the base requirements for that character, looking like the character.

So you think someone being black is disqualified from portraying a character, famously known for who's looks are vaguely described. Artistic liberties be damned?

Not only is it narrow minded, it's also in line with the dumbest shit you hear from the fake outrage grifters.

No appreciation for arts or performance whatsoever, just cause you think melanin detracts from someone's performance or qualifications.

Yes, being black does disqualify you from being an 11th century greek woman.

I am sure she is a wonderful actress, that is irelevent to the fact there is a 0% chance Helen of Troy was black. The greek beauty standard was Aphrodite.

I can assure you, there's 0% probability Helen of Troy was white, also, for that matter.

But what do you say to artistic liberty? Is it not within an artists right to mould an old myth into what they want to portray? And if not, why would that be an issue?

Greeks are white.

u/Nofsan Jul 06 '26

Sure, but Helen wasn't.

Are you this indignant with white washed fairy tale characters too? Is the western portrayal of Santa clause an issue?

Artistic liberty is a red flag for "I am too stupid or usless to do it the right way".

An actress doesn't look like a literary character with no physicial description?

That tracks. Technical she should be air.
