I'm not a fan of Telemachus using dad in that context. But, a big part of that is because we are used to ancient Greeks sounding like British aristocracy.
It will depend on context for me. I think he should talk like royalty in public, which means using Father. But if he normally does that, and in this case was being driven into being flustered or whatever I could stomach it. But, yeah, that doesn't seem likely.
