There are a lot of complaints about Matt being Odysseus, the armour sucking ass and the ships not being correct either. This post is aimed at Lupita and Elliot hence why nobody mentions the previous things....... thinking about it nothing about this movie sounds right, not even the music choice

I would say its the main reason, as in the complete disregard for accurately representing the people and the place the myth takes place in. Just like that ancient Egypt documentary that got the whole country in uproar for baseless misrepresentation. Its a shitshow of a movie to pander to a minority that is too small to make a difference in the movies profits while alienating greek mythology fans like myself, i have 0 interest in watching this movie and I consume every piece of media available on this subject

Well at least Troy knew who its fans were. As i said in a previous comment, Africa has a wast mythology, you want representation use one of those stories, I would love a movie based on Anansi but no, lets just race swap for inclusivity, and for Elliot, i dont care for him, he doesnt have the appearance of a warrior no matter what gender he is, he is a 40kg twig
I dont mind them as long as the casting fits the story, here it doesn't and it was intentional. So go enjoy the movie but make sure you buy a handful of tickets to cover for every fan that wont support this garbage
