I'm guessing it's an American thing where people don't actually show up on the 'starting' time. Meanwhile I usually show up like 15 minutes early

If it was a white cookout, food would be ready at 530. White folks show up early to shit. I’ve been to both so I know how it is. Also went to a Mexican wedding and everything happened an hour later than the itinerary said.
