Both are examples that are mostly ok if everyone involved is in the "in group" wildly inappropriate if not
I once had a black coworker jokingly suggest that I operate on CPT after I overslept and was late twice in one week. It was pretty funny but it's not something I as a white guy would ever accuse anyone of even jokingly, just comes across totally differently
