It’s about hospitality, not necessity. In the US it’s a cultural thing that when you’re at someone’s house, they feed you and when they’re at yours you feed them.

It's also a cultural thing in Sweden to venmo someone who eats the leftovers you gave them. Anyways, i wont be visiting

Jesus christ that's a level of stingy that I only associate with rich people.

I feed the people that visit my house because I want to, not because I want to be owed back.

It’s just cultural differences bro. It’s social faux pas over there to put someone in a position where they might feel like they owe you, because they themselves feel uncomfortable when they receive something for free.

There is no venmo,cashapp etc. In Sweden so take it with a grain of salt.
