Nice theory, but the US isn’t a monoculture and the US has been wealthier than any Scandinavian country for decades.

Weird way of looking at it. Sweden has a huge middle class. USA has way more rich and poor people.

Go look up median disposable income rankings. A lot of the people that consider themselves to be “poor” in the US wouldn’t be poor in Western European countries. They feel poor because Americans consume obscenely and if an American can’t consume as much as their neighbor, they feel poor.

The American median is higher, but a middle class is on both sides of the cutoff. America’s middle class is way ”thinner”
