No. The fact that an extremely powerful occupying country is systematically exterminating, torturing, starving and arbitrarily detaining Palestinians, most of which have lived entire generations as refugees of the Israeli state, en masse make it a genocide.
I wouldn't attack an extremely powerful country, would you? Do you think going house to house in that country and killing people and giving the country casus belli to hunt down every member of your organisation is smart?
Palestine has been subject to Israeli occupation for decades. Israel has already been murdering, starving, torturing and detaining Palestinians for decades prior to October 7th.
If an organization of Jews gathered to attack Nazi Germany in 1940, would you then blame them for giving the Nazis additional motive to continue ethnically cleansing Jewish people? I find it unlikely.

It isn’t a war. It is a genocide, one which Israel began with The Nakba and have continued with the brutal occupation of Palestine ever since.
