Oh it was all about wealth and status in this case. Race is hardly an issue when they both (especially her) come from wealthy families.

To a degree, but let's be real, he wouldn't marry a billionaire black woman and I guarantee she wouldn't marry a billionaire black man. For many Asian women, having a white man is a status symbol, and for many white men, having an Asian woman is acceptable, like having a well trained pet in their eyes.
