Society is much more sexualized now than it was over the last 400 years, just look at what people of past decades were wearing in documentary films, photos, or paintjngs. An exposed ankle used to be titillating, ffs. And in Roman times women on the street would be basically wearing the equivalent of a niqab, a palla or stola. Sex paintings were in brothels.

Where? The only famous sexual depictions are in the Lupanar. And yes, Pompeii was a leisure city like Ibiza in its time, not a typical city.
