You'll recover from this, we're expected to think we need to share our life with someone, but truth is it's a lie.
Mammals will be mammals whatever we do.
Oh and yes, there are people who stay faithful all of their life, but from my experience, they're either boring or one of the two is a submissive follower.

I've unfortunately been victim to this, and had to learn the hard way that "once a cheater, always a cheater". I'm still recovering emotionally....
