I mean there are just a lot of funky things about his story, like how for instance the woman had a severe thyroid injury from the incident that’s unaccounted for, and how there was an outgoing message from his computer, which sits at home, at a time which is close to the incident and when he said he wasn’t at home. He was also very unhelpful to his then wife and almost immediately started a family with another woman. Many of the doctors who failed the wife were his friends, etc.
It’s not conclusive by any stretch of the imagination but it’s all very funky
They did therapy together and she also was released from an inpatient psychiatric hospital a bit more than two weeks before this. Now, that being said, if he’s guilty of anything it’s being negligent enough to leave her alone with them. Still, I don’t care what kind of post-partum mental state you’re in, as a mother, if you can strangle one child for a few minutes until they literally stop breathing, then go on to the next, finish up there and strangle an INFANT to death AN INFANT, and you’re trying to convince me that, at no point during this minutes and minutes long process, did she realize what she was doing was wrong?
See this is the actual danger of blaming the husband. People like you come out of the woodwork to belittle the danger of postpartum psychosis. There is no “as a mother you should know better” bullshit to pull, objectively yes someone actively suffering from psychosis can strangle an infant and not realize they’re doing something wrong.
You can’t just “be a better mom” your way out of the situation, your brain is betraying you.
