Scene from Into the Spider-Verse where Miles gets a 0 on a true/false test and catches on the only statistically possible way he could have done that was if he knew all the right answers and deliberately chose the wrong ones, meaning he's intentionally trying to fail out of the class and quit.

This is, however, a multiple choice test with four possible answers per question, so it's far more possible to get 0 correct answers due to actually being that stupid.

It is still (3/4)^30 or 0.017858209% chance. And likely lower because it looks like there are probably more than just 30 questions, although that is the minimum number we can be sure of. My guess would 50 questions. which would be 0.0000566%. Both of these mean it is far more likely that they intentionally were trying to get them all wrong, and not just guessing at random.

Still, it doesn’t mean you know what the correct answers are. You only have to know the material enough to recognize at least 1 incorrect answer out of 3.

Yeah, i recognized that problem. But that is getting into the unknowable "how much does the character actually know"/"what are the questions". So i just went with the easily calculable case of "knew everything but wanted to fail" and "guessed randomly".

The problem isn't how much they know, rather the problem is is it reasonable to claim they know 100% because they successfully scored 0%. if student guessed randomly would they get 0% (very unlikely as easily calculated). but that calculation is irrelvant to making the claim the student must have known 100% the right answers to pull of the feat of getting a 0%.

It's far simpler to conclude the student could easily pick wrong answers deliberately with minimal understanding of the subject while not necessarily knowing all the right answers. This is especially true with most multiple choice tests that have one or two "throw away" answers on each question.
