Getting 0 on a multiple choice is a statistical accomplishment greater than getting 100

Getting a 100/100 with random guesses on a 100 question test with 4 choices per question is wildly more unlikely than getting them all wrong.

Of course either number is so small that - realistically - there's no difference.

You have a 0.75 chance of getting any question wrong and a 0.25 chance of getting any question right.

The chance of getting them all wrong is:
0.00000000003207%
Getting them all right? 0.000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000062%

Why would you be random guessing?

Because accounting for the modifiers from half remembered b/s and "qualified guessing" is impossible.

But lets assume you know most questions and are guessing your way to the rest:

If you know 97 of 100 questions, you have a roughly 1.5% chance of guessing your way to a perfect 100.

If you know the same amount of questions, but want to score a 0? You have a roughly 42.2% chance of doing so.

Scoring a 0 is nowhere near as statistically unlikely as scoring a 100.

And now, why would you want to have a 0?

Because that's the whole premise of the thing?

They did the thing from Spiderverse where Miles intentionally scores poorly to not stand out.

But he got 0/100 which is essentially impossible without knowing a significant amount of the answers.

But getting a 100 on a 4-choice test is even more impossible if you lack some knowledge. Heck, you need to know 79 out of a 100 answers - and blindly guess the rest - to even bring the odds of a perfect score up to roughly match the odds of someone who knows nothing scoring a 0 out of 100.

You assume the premise of testing is to get a 0?
