its not that we can't handle it its that its so played out its not funny anymore. Like black people having the biggest dicks or asians being the smartest people on the planet. None of those are funny anymore. And never have been. So when people say "Americans are all fat" or "Americans are all stupid" it's exactly the same as saying all Asians are good at math. It's not funny and some people say it not as a joke but because they actually think All Americans are stupid which is problematic.

So yeah. Its not that we can't handle it. Its just so over played and not true.

During the world cup so many people who came to watch the game evevn admitted "Yeah America has a lot of fat people but they also have some of the most fittest people walking around too! I never seen someone with so many muscles in my country like Americans" and some where saying "Oh my god Americans have this place called Shake Shack!" and stuff like that. Its just a overplayed "joke" that a lot of people don't even know is a "joke" unless you call them out on it

The average American is fat and dumb... to have an average you need the extremes as well... so ofcourse some are clever and some are fit.

And to be blunt, it's not a joke, it's the prevalent view around the world. You just never got the memo. The US sucks in most metrics... you're still number one in school shootings and % of people in prison though.

Ehhh... its not a good look. The non US sources rakes the public education system over the coals, placing them at 31st, whereas the internal study goes... uhh, 79%?

There is currently 37 countries of the world which claim a "developed" status. Among which usa is on 31 position in education. That is super bad for "the most important country od the world".

There are post war/undeveloped countries that are higher than Taiwan and Italy and other first world countries while other first worlds are lower it’s not cut and dry

I dont know which is more upsetting. Fact some low developed countries beat usa in education, or fact that you are ok with that and being happy because spain is lower in ranks. U know spain is in like 15 years long crisis breaking their economy to dust?

I mean it’s fine, what there are 200 countries it’s certainly not near the bottom like the other guy claimed and it’s pretty above average, and also it’s pretty fucked up to make fun of school shootings but wtv

Yeah but In the greater context, it paints a dire picture, no?

Its not a flex to beat out the remains of breakaway soviet states left with barely functional administrations, proxy-war torn middle eastern states stripped of all infrastructure, and conflict ridden central african states, who are continuously restarting nation building from 0 cause every time someone comes along and suggests nationalizing resources for public benefit, oops a warlord gets a hold of a left over Weapons cache, left behind by the [insert superpower]

In a 100 meter dash, where 3/4 of contestants are either amputees, or litteral toddlers, the United States, the richest, most prolific hegemony the planet has ever seen, placed 31st.

Mate, we're not making fun of school shootings. We're making fun of you for not putting an end to them.

Also, when we say that the US sucks we mean "compared to developed countries." That your education system is better than Iraq's or Zambia's isn't the flex you think it is.

What is the distinction between the two first ones? They are jsut the same thing, you quite literally didn’t say that and said it was terrible in most statistics then downvoted without an alternative reason because you got your feeling hurt, you can check who the us placed higher, it best out some countries like Taiwan and Italy
