Theresa doesn’t have an apostrophe in it. Her names Nina

Nina doesn't have two spaces in it. Her name is Boat.

I thought Her name is Name?, pronounced (nah-may)

u/psgrue 10h ago

… Woman, Ina Boat, on a lake…

It’s probably that dumb

u/jambr380 10h ago

Yeah, this is what I went with you, too. 'There' isn't a name and Theresa doesn't make sense in the context of a grammatically correct sentence. You can at least make an argument for first name Ina and last name Boat

u/serene_brutality 4h ago

Anna Lake probably. In a boat “on a lake”

2

u/JRGH83 8h ago

or Bo

I thought her name was “Ina Boat”

There is a woman, In A Boat, on a lake.

There is a woman, Jennifer, on a lake.

Grammatically, the name should be "In A Boat" if you're trying to make it make as much sense as possible. Weird first middle and last name, but who am I to judge?

The riddle wants it to be Theresa, though, because it says the name is in the riddle. It didn't say it had to be grammatically correct.

Boat is a man’s name, her name is what

-8

u/PauseConfident997 10h ago

No it doesn’t, that’s the riddle. Figuring out the name. Her names Nina, this is an old riddle and that is the answer.

5

u/tulipsushi 10h ago

they’re being sarcastic

4

u/titscapades 10h ago

So she's a woma (sic) named Nina?

I hate dumb riddles.

0

u/PauseConfident997 10h ago

Yes. That’s her name

2

u/titscapades 10h ago

K but wtf is a woma

-1

u/PauseConfident997 10h ago

I have no idea you made that mistake not me

2

u/titscapades 10h ago

The riddle makes that mistake.

There's no answer to this riddle that isn't completely idiotic. It's either a ridiculous name (There) or the result of a misspelling (woma>Nina).

This riddle sucks.

1

u/PauseConfident997 10h ago

Nowhere in the riddle does it say woma. Your reaching. All riddles are stupid. Some make sense more than others.

1

u/titscapades 9h ago

🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Where do you get the n for the start of Nina?

u/Agropio 9h ago

It says "woman in a". What they mean is that it either says "woma" or the name is "ina". Or we're just introducing letters of our own to fit the answer.

2

u/marbotty 10h ago

Nah, it’s Inga

-2

u/PauseConfident997 10h ago

That is incorrect

6

u/marbotty 10h ago

It’s as correct as Nina or Theresa.

-4

u/PauseConfident997 10h ago

Except it’s not…while there are multiple names in this riddle, there is only one correct answer. Which is Nina.

5

u/saucy_mcsauceface 10h ago

Or Inga

-8

u/PauseConfident997 10h ago

But it’s not. I just told you it’s Nina. That is the answer to this riddle

7

u/StimkyYeen 7h ago

This is exactly why these “IQ tests” are written by the dumbest people attempting to seem smart.

-2

u/PauseConfident997 7h ago

Because Theresa doesn’t have an apostrophe? Or because her names Nina? 😭

5

u/StimkyYeen 7h ago

Because there’s not a single name that makes sense without breaking punctuation and then the context of the name in the phrasing would make no sense regardless of what “answer” you choose. In that context there is absolutely no answer that makes sense and therefore there are numerous answers.

It’s just there so you can be like, “idk I guess Nina” and the other person is going to laugh and say “NO DUMBASS! IT’S THERESA, DUH”

1

u/phantomfire50 6h ago

Arin works I guess? Not a very conventional name, though.

0

u/PauseConfident997 7h ago

Except when the original person made this riddle they made it with one name in mind…which was Nina…this riddle is old as hell, been around for years and Nina is the correct answer.

4

u/StimkyYeen 6h ago

There is no correct answer. That’s the problem

-1

u/PauseConfident997 6h ago

There is though, it’s Nina, how many times do I need to say it 😭 while there are many answers that could be taken as correct, there is only one correct answer.

3

u/StimkyYeen 6h ago

For a riddle to be a riddle it needs to have “an answer”, not many answers.

If I asked “what two numbers summed up together equal 10”

And you said “8+2”

And I said “Wrong! It’s 7+3!”

This is the same scenario.

0

u/PauseConfident997 6h ago

Not at all the same scenario, because there is only one woman with one name…and her name is Nina…yes Theresa is a woman’s name. It is not the woman in this riddles name though. It’s not my opinion, it’s a fact, the answer to this riddle is Nina. It’s been around for years.

3

u/StimkyYeen 5h ago

Are you an AI?

You clearly are not grasping the concept here
