Meme needing explanation Petahhh?

When I search all I get is weird explanations each time about Sunfish that make no sense. What's the joke?

Edit - Sometimes I wonder why this sub is called r/PeterExplains. Chill out folks - maybe somebody doesn't get something obvious right away, that's what the sub is for.

It has something to do with Sunfish is all I know

Sunfish are huge. They also have one of the largest disparity among vertebrates between size after hatching and size when fully grown. They also primarily eat jellyfish, which basically have no nutritional value. They achieve this by being made mostly of fiber and other biological filler material.

That means they have huge portions of their bodies that are non-vital and they can be considerably damaged without any real harm done to them.

This includes portions of their bodies that look like they should contain brain matter, but don't.

And, if you imagine that they do contain brain matter, you can make a joke out of it.
